“Exploring Communication Behavior: A Literature Review on Verbal and Nonverbal Messages” “Examining the Role of Conflict Resolution Strategies in Improving Interpersonal Relationships: A Comprehensive Literature Review” “Exploring the Impact of Communication on Relationships: A Literature Review”

(sources are provided in my topic proposal pdf)
    Introduction
    Summary
The purpose of COM 308 is to familiarize the student with both academic and propriety research. The primary purpose of a review of literature is to provide a rationale for the proposed research question(s) and/or hypothesis(ses). A review of literature should represent a synthesis of existing theory and research literature that argues for the research question(s) and/or hypothesis(ses). The process of constructing a literature review acquaints the researcher with the studies already done in a particular area and allows the researcher to build/extend the existing knowledge. The key to writing a good literature review is synthesis. Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to help you practice the following skills that are essential to your success:
Create a review of literature that synthesizes existing scholarship on a communication issue.
Identify elements of editing and be able to self edit.
Although you may not experience writing a literature review in your professional life, practicing writing in a third person voice allows you to stretch that writing muscle and develop meaningful insight into creating effective prose.
    Requirements
To complete this assignment, please note:
    Due Date: 1/28
    Style and Format
Cover page, body, and reference page are required
4-8 pages of work APA 7th edition
    Font: Times New Roman
Double spaced and margins per APA format
    Step by Step Guide
To complete this assignment, follow these steps:
Identify a topic for research that focuses on communication behavior (i.e., verbal and/or nonverbal messages in some capacity). Identify a question that you have about the particular communication phenomena. (You may have a question in mind OR you may find a question by examining the literature and identifying gaps.) Please make sure that your topic is in fact appropriate to the Communication discipline. This will likely be the topic that you presented in your topic proposal. The project should build upon the research that you have already started and should be a revised version of your topic proposal.
Read relevant primary sources on the key topic and related issues. Make notes as you go that identify key ideas, variables, and definitions. Avoid using direct quotations–paraphrase ideas from others. You will need to read more material than you will end up citing in your paper in order to find useful and topic-relevant sources. You should have 6 sources referencedand cited in your final draft of the paper. You will be penalized if you do not have the appropriate number of references and they do not meet the requirements. The journals should all be peer reviewed. Additionally, please make sure that you are submitting original work. Submitting work that has been submitted for another class is considered plagiarism. Based upon the literature you have read and your own perspective on the topic, create an outline to organize the ideas for your paper.
Write the paper. Components of the paper include the following requirements:
Requirement #1: Cover Page: APA 7th edition cover page
    Requirement #2: Introduction (1 page)
This will be a revision of the first paper you hand in. You should begin the introduction with an attention getter- something that draws the reader in and makes them want to read more. This should be something from the literature and not a hypothetical or anecdotal story. Throughout the entire literature review you will avoid first and second person language. This includes the introduction section. Additionally, you need a research rationale. The function of a research rationale is to justify further examination of the topic. Why is it important to communication research? Make sure that you justify examining the topic further. The paragraph where you provide your research rationale will conclude with your thesis statement. Your thesis statement will be the general point or purpose of your paper. Please start the sentence with, ‘the purpose of this paper is to…’. This will help us identify your thesis statement. The thesis statement should be a reflection of your hypothesis/research question. This will help you to focus your paper on providing evidence to support your hypothesis/research question. Finally, you should end your introduction with a preview statement. This preview will inform readers of the areas of literature that you will be discussing in the paper.
Requirement #3: Body of Literature Review (3-4 pages)
A very brief review of current literature on topic that begins generally (often with a theory or theoretical perspective) and gradually becomes more and more specific until you propose your specific H’s and/or RQ’s. This should be 3-4 pages. You will incorporate all relevant research into the discussion of your topic and ensure that you are citing appropriately. Remember that this should serve as an argument supporting your hypothesis/research question. You will need to utilize previous research findings in order to support the hypothesis that you are proposing. Please do not use arguments that do not deal directly with your hypothesis/literature review. Also, make sure that the literature that you use is appropriate and complete enough to make your argument. You should utilize and cite at least 6 sources from peer-reviewed journals.
The literature review should begin by conceptually defining each of the concepts that you are interested in. You will give a broad conceptual definition so that the reader understands the focus of your paper (if you have ever taken a conflict class, you know that a multitude of definitions exist for this concept, it is important to tell your reader how you are defining conflict). Each paragraph of the literature review should have a topic sentence. Then, the body of the paragraph should work on supporting the topic sentence. All of your topic sentences should work together to support your central thesis. When you are constructing your outline, keep in mind what main arguments you need to make in order to support your thesis. Please, do not provide a study-by-study summary of the literature. This paper should go beyond an annotated bibliography. The purpose of a focused literature review is to synthesize what scholars know about your topic, thus you should have multiple citations per paragraph and oftentimes per sentence. All constructs, variables, and theory components (if you use theory in your paper) that are relevant to your study should be defined and explained using scholarly sources (e.g., integrative conflict strategies are defined as….). When completed, your literature review should resemble the content and structure of published journal articles. This means that you should cite scholarly sources whenever an idea is not your own.
Your paper should maintain a professional tone. In order to do that, you need to use third person language. Second, don’t use hypothetical situations to illustrate a point. I don’t want to read about a case study as this is not the point of the assignment. Third, check your references! Make sure that you have the required amount and that they are peer-reviewed journals. They should be cited in your paper and in the reference page. Do not include sources in your reference page that are not cited in your paper. Fourth, don’t plagiarize. If you didn’t think of the idea, cite the person who did. This does not just apply to direct quotations. Also, do not turn in work that you have done for another class, this is self-plagiarism.
    Requirement #4: Hypothesis/ Research Question
Propose research questions and/or hypotheses that emerge logically and clearly from your literature review. You should revise the hypothesis/research question from your topic proposal according to the feedback that you were given. You should present your hypothesis/research question at the end of the literature review. You will often times have a lead in paragraph that ties the research together and makes a final argument for your hypothesis/research questions. Occasionally, you will present your hypothesis/research question in a different section of the paper. If you feel that it fits better in the middle, you can put it there. Most of the time, however, they come at the end. Additionally, you need to have at least one hypothesis or research question but can have more than that. These should be set aside per APA format. You will be graded on the quality. Requirement #5: Reference Page (APA)
Your reference page. This needs to be in APA format and should contain everything that you reference in the paper. The sources should be from peer reviewed, Communication journals. This list represents communication journals.

“Exploring Self-Definition in Travel Writing: A Comparative Analysis of European Encounters in Early Modern and Modern Accounts”

Hello, i am sending you an assignment again. I have uploaded the essay guideline and the articles. Please read the articles carefully. I also uploaded the course description for you to understand the lecture. Pay attention to the underlined areas in the articles and use references from the articles that i uploaded. Please choose 1 of the 5 topics for the essay.
    Essay guideline:
The focus of the final essay is on self-definition in relationship to the West or Europe, as represented by one work of travel writing about a particular place, either early modern or modern. According to Khair, travel writing entails defining the writer’s relationship, explicitly and implicitly, not only to a visited place’s society and culture but also to his or her own home (4).
For the essay, please choose and write about one of the following five works:
    1. al-Ghassani’s account of Madrid or Spain
    2. Evliya Çelebi’s account of Vienna or Habsburg Germany 3. the Mirza’s account of London or England
    4. al-Tahtawi’s account of Paris or France
    5. Zeyneb Hanım’s account of Europe.
In addressing the topic of self-definition, please consider the following questions: What kinds of observations and comments are made? To what extent, if any, is there an effort to alterize or make other what is socially and culturally different? In this regard, how significant is the rhetoric employed? And is there a marked change in the perception or understanding of the world?
Once again, the essay should be 5-6 pages in length (or 1250-1500 words), double-spaced, and in 12-point font. Emphasis in grading will be placed on the clearness and conciseness of your discussion, with the appropriate textual support. So please do not just summarize. If you do so, it will affect your grade negatively. There is also no need for you to refer to secondary readings not assigned for class. If you do intend to refer to additional works, this applies as well to Internet sources, please cite using the MLA Style guide. If it is obvious to me that you used outside sources, without citation, your grading will begin at 65. The essay is worth 100 points total and constitutes 25 percent of your overall grade. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to speak with me.

“Growing Ideas: Solving the Problem of Competition for Canyon Creek Nursery” “Creating Concepts: Exploring Houseplant Trends and Targeting Millennial Consumers”

    Scenario
The houseplant industry is booming, with indoor gardening becoming one of the most popular hobbies in the United States. Sixty-six percent of households own at least one plant, and 33.1 million households actively participate in indoor houseplant gardening. Millennials account for the largest growth in the industry, with 70% calling themselves “plant parents.”
With the growing popularity of houseplants, more and more retailers, like grocery stores and discount stores, are reaping the benefits by starting to offer a larger variety than they previously have. This trend has negatively impacted small local nurseries, which don’t have the resources to advertise and market as heavily as chain stores.
Canyon Creek Nursery is a plant nursery in Illinois. A family-owned business, they’ve been successful for over 50 years through word-of-mouth and by advertising in the local newspaper during key times of the year. However, with the continued increase in competition from big box stores and online retailers, they’ve started to see their sales shrink.
Knowing the trend is likely to continue, Canyon Creek Nursery needs to communicate their benefits to customers. Although their houseplants are higher priced than the ones sold by big box stores, they offer a larger variety and more rare, sought-after plants. Their plants are top-quality, healthy, and locally grown, and everyone on staff is knowledgeable in horticulture and available on site to answer questions.
Because of the large increase in millennial “plant parents” of both sexes, Canyon Creek Nursery has designated them as their primary target audience.
To continue to stay in business, Canyon Creek Nursery must make their primary target audience understand they’re worth the higher price. They’ve hired your employer, Strategic Design Advertising & Marketing, to help them make this happen.
Your peers at Strategic Design have completed research of the target audience and the problem, which they’ve summarized and handed over to you. Your task as the graphic designer on the project is to take that information and move into the ideation stage – generating, developing, and communicating ideas on how to solve Canyon Creek Nursery’s problem.
The target audience, plant parent Millennials:
    ◦ Live in apartments or townhomes with little-to-no outdoor space, so they’re bringing nature indoors.
    ◦ Take pleasure in bringing their living spaces to life with plants.
    ◦ Spend a lot of time immersed in social media, often in regard to plants.
    ◦ Believe in the physical and emotional benefits of houseplants.
    ◦ Are gratified by the feeling of “being needed” by houseplants as they’re key to keeping them alive.
    ◦ Enjoy the sense of being part of a “plant community”.
    ◦ Plan to wait until later in life to have children so they’ve turned to plants in the meantime.
    ◦ Will compulsively purchase a houseplant that catches their eye.
    ◦ Most often purchase plants at home improvement stores, followed by garden centers, super discount stores, and supermarket florists. Online purchases have been growing as well.

    Instructions
Choose three ideation methods from the “Idea Generation” section in Module 04. Conduct the chosen methods/activities and sketch out 5 thumbnail ideas for each of them. (You’ll have a total of 15 thumbnails). Although thumbnails are quick idea sketches, they must be clearly understandable.
Determine which concept is the strongest from each of your three ideation sessions and turn each one into a comprehensive sketch. These should be professional sketches that you would submit to a client. Sketches needn’t be detailed, but they should be carefully thought out and cleanly designed. Quality is as important as creativity.
After you have finalized your three sketches, write a short memo to your creative director explaining what media you believe will be the most successful in reaching the target audience. At the bottom of the memo list the three ideation methods you used to create your concepts. See the resource below if you need a refresher on how to write a memo.
If you sketched digitally, save the sketches as a PDF. If you sketched on paper, either photograph or scan your images, clean them up (the paper should look white and the sketches clearly dark and contrasting with the paper) and submit as a PDF. It is highly recommended that you use a scanning app like Adobe Scan or CamScanner; low contrast images will affect your grade negatively.
Save your memo as a PDF and submit with your sketches.

Title: “Interpreting the Law: A Case of Concealed Weapons and Borrowed Vehicles” “Analyzing Contract Law: Understanding the Elements, Transfer, Discharge, and Breach of Contracts”

The assignment consists of two questions that must be answered separately. Question 1 has a word count of 500–600 words, and question 2 does not state a minimum word count.
    Please answer each question separately.
The textbook that we are using for this class is Business Law, 9th edition, Goldman and Sigismond, Cengage Publishing. ISBN: 9781133586562. Listed below is the assignment and Learning Objectives for this week’s chapters 11 -14. I have also attached the PowerPoint Slides, Lecture Notes and Audio Lecture needed to complete the assignment.
Question 1: Audio Lecture on the Power to Interpret the Law
A woman was walking with her rod and reel and tackle box along the bank of a pond in a city park. The park allowed fishing by the public but only if the angler had a valid fishing license and to fish in the city park pond had been bought. One of the police officers patrolling the park met the woman as she walked and asked the woman to produce her fishing license and fishing permit. (This was a legal request with which the woman was required to comply.) The woman’s wallet containing her fishing license and permit to fish were inside the closed tackle box she was carrying. When she opened the tackle box to retrieve her license and permit, the officer saw she was carrying inside the box a fixed-blade fishing filet knife that was 12 inches long overall and had a 7-inch blade. Being a spiritual descendant of Deputy Barney Fife, the officer promptly arrested her for illegally carrying a concealed weapon in violation of a statute which read: “No one shall carry concealed about the person a fixed blade knife having a blade of more than 5 inches long.” The law also provides that one who violates it can be fined up to $500 and/or be sentenced to 30 days in jail.
The statute did not contain any language that provided a justification for the concealed carrying of such a knife and it did not list any exceptions where the concealed carrying of such a knife was permissible. There were no previous cases in the state that interpreted the statute.
Which one of the following approaches do you think is best?
Judge A believes he has no choice except to follow the letter of the law and find the woman guilty. He takes the woman’s circumstances into account by giving her a lighter punishment—she is not required to pay a fine or serve a jail sentence, but she is required to pay court costs. As light as the sentence is, the woman will still end up with a conviction for illegally carrying a concealed weapon.
Judge B believes that the intent of the statute was to prevent people from the concealed carrying of knives which could be drawn on a moment’s notice and which would be capable of killing or seriously injuring someone. She believes that the circumstances surrounding the concealed carrying of the knife should be considered in determining whether the statute was violated.
Please begin by definitely stating which approach you think is better. Your first sentence should be “I believe the judge should consider only the letter of the law” or “I believe the judge should consider the circumstances under which the knife was carried in order to determine whether the statute was violated.”
Give two well written and thoughtful reasons that provide support for your answer. Your answer should be 500-600 words why you think the approach you chose is the better approach. I will subtract points for spelling/grammatical/typographical errors: 1 point will be subtracted for the first three such errors and an additional point will be subtracted if there are four or more such errors.
Question 2: The Power to Interpret the Law
Darla needed to borrow Bubba’s pickup truck. Bubba agreed to drop the truck off at the mall where Darla worked and to drive home in Darla’s car. After Darla got off work, she approached the truck with keys in hand intending to climb in and drive away.
Unknown to Darla, Bubba had left laying on the passenger’s seat an unsheathed fixed blade hunting knife that was twelve inches long (from the beginning of the handle to the point of the blade). A policeman who was walking by the truck had spotted the knife in the vehicle and was waiting for the owner to return. Darla approached the truck, unlocked its doors with the remote and placed her hand on the door handle to open it. The policeman yelled at her to stop and then arrested her.. She was charged with violating a section of the law that made it illegal to “carry concealed about the person a Bowie knife or knife or instrument of like kind.”
Has Darla violated the statute? Discuss fully each part of the relevant statute, evaluating whether Darla’s conduct is in compliance with it.

The Influence of Social Media Influencers on Youth Minds

As a human in the modern era one can be sure we’ve all seen a family that just allows their kids to just do whatever they want with their ipad or phone. Most of these families don’t even monitor the screens of these kids’ electronic devices or who is on those devices. They could be watching YouTube, Tik Tok, or Twitter where there are influencers taking over the pages. Seeing how most of these kids are stuck in their iPads or phones their minds are still somewhat fresh which allows them to be controlled by these influencers. A person called Andrew Tate or the “top G” on social media used to be a big name during 2021-2022 trying to convince little boys(8-12) that they are men. And parents barely paid any attention to this and just walked past like nothing was happening. This inturn made it so that these kids think that they are on top, that they are the best of all time. Which leads to them having fights with their parents about bedtimes, what and what they don’t eat, not wanting to go to school, and the list goes on.
There is a place that many come to have so of the most funny, serious, sad, anger inducing, random things one will ever see anywhere else. Guess what the best part of this place is, it is technically not a physical place. It is a digital place called the internet. A place that has no limit or age requirements and this could be a problem. This means that kids of all ages can just stumble upon the wrong website that is controlled by an influencer who wants to expose their opinion on younger audiences. According to Nihal Toros Ntapiapis (professor of Communication)she concluded “The distribution and access of information have become more comfortable with the development of the technological infrastructure, and people have connected them to research from more intensive or different perspectives according to their interests’ ‘ based on his research. An influencer would pull in these kids by using the interest of the kids to lure them to listen to their opinion whether it is right or wrong. Then by stating these opinions they can alter the mindset of these youth making them think like the influencer. Cecilie Schou who led a team on the article The Link Between Social Media and Narcissism in Young Adults “One of the emergent places for young people having a say, especially among peers, is the Internet, and in particular, social networking sites and youth oriented discussion forums”. This shows that the youth feel as if they deserve to have a say in what happens in the world.
Speaking of these influencers and them altering the kids of today minds to
