Title: EER Diagram for Richmond Alternative Family Therapy Information System

Richmond Alternative Family Therapy is a small family counseling practice. It needs an information system to schedule appointments. There are currently five counselors working in the practice. Their facility has four rooms that can be used for scheduling counseling sessions. Each appointment is scheduled for a particular date and has a start time and a duration (in minutes). Each appointment is for exactly one counselor and at least one client, but may be for multiple clients. Each counselor may have many appointments and each client can have many appointments. Each appointment is scheduled by an employee. Each appointment is in a particular room and each room can have many appointments. Additionally, appointments have a free-text field named “notes” where the counselor to keep notes about the counseling session. These notes may be as long as 3,000 characters. Each client who is scheduled for an appointment may have an assignment to complete in preparation for the counseling session. The description of the assignment may be as long as 2,000 characters. The system must also be able to record which clients actually came to the appointments for which they were scheduled. Appointments must be made in such a way that rooms, clients, and counselors do not have time conflicts. Of course, when a new employee, counselor, client, or room is added to the system, it will not have had any appointments, so it is possible for each to exist without being associated with a particular appointment.
Employees, counselors, and clients are all people, so they will need standard contact information: first name, last name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, email address. In addition, Counselors have a degree suffix (such as MD or PhD). Clients have “FoundOut” attribute that allows for a free text description of how the client became aware of the practice. In addition, New Dawn needs to be able to record which clients were referred by which other clients. Each client may be referred by a single client and each client can be recorded as the referring client of many other clients. Clients also have a “reminder method” attribute that indicates how they prefer to be reminded about appointments (e.g. email, phone, text message, postcard). In addition to standard contact information, employees have a “date hired” attribute and a “wage” attribute. Also, each employee is supervised by exactly one other employee; an employee who is a supervisor may supervise more than one employee. The supervisory role is hierarchal and it is said that the top most employee in the hierarchy supervises herself. Rooms have a room number and a room name.
Counselors in the frim are partners, not employee; however, it is conceivable that a counselor could be hired in an employee role.  For example, one of the counselors could be hired as a marketing agent to promote the firm’s counseling services. It is also possible for a counselor to receive counseling from another RAFT counselor.  The only kinds of people that the practice keeps information about are clients, employees and counselors.
Design your solution such that it represents all basic contact information in a single entity and use inheritance to combine the contact information with other attributes of employees, clients, and counselors. Indicate which attributes serve as identifiers by underlining the attribute name. Do not include attributes to serve as foreign keys as that information is captured by relationships
Develop an EER diagram for the Richmond Alternative Family Therapy.
Express as many of the constraints in this scenario directly in the EER diagram as possible. If there is a constraint that you are unable to show using the diagram, you may express in a textual note.  Show both minimum and maximum cardinality constraints.

“Navigating the Political Landscape of Healthcare: The Complexities of Repealing and Replacing the Affordable Care Act” Understanding Voter Opinions on Healthcare Policy: Challenges and Considerations for Legislative Leaders

*** CREATE A RESPONSE TO THE FOLLOWING DISCUSSION POST**
The repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has been a highly debated topic in American politics, closely linked to the reelection strategies of lawmakers. As elected representatives, legislators are acutely conscious of the need to strike a balance between their policy choices and the preferences of their voters, especially when it comes to healthcare, which directly impacts people’s physical and financial well (The White House, 2023). The cost-benefit analysis for legislators about the initiatives to repeal/replace the ACA is complex and has multiple aspects. On the other hand, there were electoral pledges to repeal the ACA, frequently justified by the aim of diminishing government involvement in healthcare and decreasing insurance premiums. By fulfilling these pledges, a lawmaker has the potential to enhance their support within their base, hence increasing their likelihood of being reelected. Nevertheless, the popularity of the ACA grew over time, especially as the public became more aware of its advantages (The White House, 2023). The legislators faced a potential danger in their bid for reelection due to the widespread support for the ACA. Backing the repeal or replacement of the ACA may isolate constituents who depend on the ACA for healthcare services, financial aid, and safeguards like coverage for pre-existing diseases.
Lawmakers encountered a predicament, revoking the ACA could have satisfied some of their supporters and conformed to certain ideological stances, it posed the possibility of receiving unfavorable reactions from others who were advantaged by the law’s provisions. Furthermore, the intricacies of healthcare policy posed difficulties in accurately forecasting the complete ramifications of repeal/replace initiatives, such as possible disruptions in coverage and heightened expenses for specific demographics (Willison & Singer, 2019). The political calculation, therefore, entailed assessing the possible immediate benefits of implementing campaign pledges compared to the long-term electoral hazards and the concrete effects on constituents’ lives. When making recommendations or establishing national laws that affect programs such as Medicare or Medicaid, examining voters’ perspectives regarding healthcare policy is essential for legislative leaders (Willison & Singer, 2019). Public opinion acts as a gauge of the goals and concerns of people, determining the policy agenda and impacting the decisions made by legislative leaders. When it comes to healthcare, which is highly personal and has a direct impact on people’s lives, it is crucial to comprehend voter emotion.
Legislative leaders must consider multiple aspects when evaluating public opinion on healthcare issues. Demographic shifts, such as the growing dependence of the aging population on Medicare, underscore the significance of upholding and enhancing healthcare services for seniors (Willison & Singer, 2019). Furthermore, the Medicaid program’s responsibility to offer coverage to low-income individuals and families highlights the importance of policies that guarantee affordable healthcare for vulnerable people. The general population’s perception regarding healthcare is not fixed; it changes throughout time in reaction to socio-economic influences, personal encounters with healthcare, and political discussions. Survey results, public forums, input from constituents, and healthcare advocacy organizations offer valuable perspectives on voters’ opinions regarding specific policy measures (Impacts of the ACA and Implications for Its Repeal, 2017). Legislative leaders must actively interact with these sources of information in order to effectively assess public sentiment and adjust their policy suggestions accordingly. Legislative leaders must skillfully manage conflicting interests and ideological differences among their constituents (Impacts of the ACA and Implications for Its Repeal, 2017). Healthcare policy arguments frequently mirror more extensive ideological debates concerning the government’s role, individual accountability, and social welfare. Therefore, comprehending the intricacies of voter opinions necessitates being attuned to many viewpoints and being open to identifying shared interests wherever feasible.
The evaluation of lawmakers’ costs and benefits in relation to the repeal or replacement of the ACA highlighted the challenges of reconciling policy goals with electoral factors. Voters’ opinions about healthcare policy are crucial in influencing legislative choices, requiring thorough consideration of public mood and constituents’ varied requirements. Legislative leaders can accomplish their primary duty of serving the interests of the voters and advancing significant healthcare reforms by aligning policy suggestions with voter preferences and addressing their healthcare problems.

Title: “Evaluation and Critique of Chapter Five: Summary and Personal Views” “Module 2 Summary and Evaluation of Chapter 2: Understanding Research Methods” Introduction: In this assignment, I will be summarizing and evaluating Chapter 2 of the textbook “Understanding Research Methods” by Patten and Newhart. This chapter provides

FOR MODULE ONE, PLEASE SUMMARIZE AND EVALUATE CHAPTER FIVE OF OUR COURSE TEXT…
Please read this information to the end ….
FIRST, please summarize the entire applicable chapter of our course text in your own words. Be sure to organize your summary logically to make it reader-friendly. Your summary section should contain only summary of the chapter with little or no personal views…. Please use subtitles to organize our summary.
The next section of your work should be devoted to an evaluation (or critique) of the chapter. This is where you add your personal views and opinions on the work you just summarized.  This assignment must be submitted in only ONE file! First you introduce this assignment; (2) then you summarize the relevant chapter (3) then you evaluate/critique the chapter (4) then you discuss your policy implications or suggestion and you conclude your work  – see below for suggested TEMPLATE or format ….
The evaluation part should contain your views/opinions on the chapter you summarized. This evaluation part is also an excellent place for you to cite your sources to back up your personal views. Because this evaluation part contains mostly YOUR views, you should cite at least one source to strengthen your views at the evaluation/critique section of your work. Cite at least one OTHER source (NOT the work you are evaluating) in this evaluation part.  While evaluating the chapter (essentially a critique which is positive and not so positive part of the chapter), you can comment on all or some of the following itemized points as part of your evaluation of the chapter … also bring in your own evaluation criteria and comment on them as you like …. You do NOT have to include the numbers just your opinions on them …. Please see the samples …
Again, this ONE assignment is divided into 4 related major outcomes (must be in one/same file…. just like parts or sections of your research paper):
    (1) Introduction – introduce your work….
    (2) Summary – no personal views….. Only summary
    (3) Evaluation/Critique – your views/opinions on the chapter  – positive and negative parts of the chapter…. must cite at least one source in this subsection to support your views/opinions, and
    (4) Conclusions and Policy Implications flowing from your work – your suggestions ….
Evaluation is basically a critique which is essentially positives and negatives about the work and this is the most important part of this assignment … because everyone can read/summarize but not everyone can do a great evaluation or critique … lol. These are just SAMPLE areas you can comment on…..
Do you like the area/topic or issue covered in the chapter (or work)?
    Why or why not?
How about the language used in the work – easy or difficult to understand?
Findings – surprise? – agree with findings if any?
Length of the article …. brief article or just right/average length?
Usefulness or utility of the chapter especially issues covered
Methodology used … logical, scientific, confusing, … etc
    Conclusions of your evaluation
Is the article practically useful – utility and usefulness of the article
Type of data used in the article and your views about the data
    Simple or complex statistical analysis?
Policy implications of the finding or suggestions based on the finding – any thoughts?
    Is the main idea important?
What are the major strengths and weaknesses of the article?
Was the work it well written, organized, and easy to understand?
    Who is the intended audience?
Is the article supported by evidence?
    Did the author forget anything?
Other comments … etc including if the issue covered is contemporary or just for academic purposes …
Again, please note that you must cite your sources in the “evaluation” part of your work to support your views…. Please don’t forget the “Policy Implications” of your work. Review my post/announcement on “Policy Implications.” Simply put, Policy Implications are just your suggestions or recommendations on the issues based on you’re the conclusions you reached in your work.
The deliverable length should be between 500 – 800 words per assignment and you must write the number of words you used at the end of your work. Of course, you can use more words if you need to … and this is often the case depending on how you structure your work. Please do not include the cover page, abstract, and list of references in the minimum deliverable length.
So my suggested subheadings for this assignment:
    Your title – “Module 2 Summary/Evaluation Assignment” … “Summary and Evaluating/Critique of Chapter 2” “… etc… etc… etc your choice….”
Introduction – say what you want to do or what you are doing…Introduce your work
Summary Section: use subheadings to organize your summary … typically no citations here because you are just summarizing and almost anyone can summarize….lol
Evaluation/critique of the chapter (cite your sources here) … you need citations here because this is where you state your views and opinions. Anytime you state your views/opinions you need citations to back them up so your readers may not think that you are speculating or guessing…. not everyone can do a great evaluation or critique… lol. This is the MOST important part of this assignment.
    Conclusions and Policy Implications
Remember that the above (a through e) are just sections or parts of the same assignment. Make EACH of the sections clear by using subtitles if you like but at least a clear paragraph to start each. You do NOT want your readers to fish or look for where you discussed each so please make it clear… can even leave a line is you like.

Title: Exploring the Influence of Art and Culture: A Conversation about the Film “Spirited Away”

Select a work of art or cultural artifact that you would like to use as the subject of your writing. You are free to choose one of interest to you, as long as it hasn’t been used in the other assessments. The artifact can range from things like literary works, films, musical pieces, or artwork. After you have your artifact selected, find a person with whom you can have a 10–15 minute dialog about your artifact. This person might be a family member, friend, coworker, et cetera. You may hold your conversation in person, over the phone, or virtually; the choice is yours.
Your conversation should be informal and relaxed—we want you to have fun with it. And here are some ideas on how to guide your conversation:
Show or play the artifact to the other person and allow them to examine it.
Share your reasons for why you chose this artifact and why it resonates with you.
Provide a few interesting details about the artist.
Invite the person to share their thoughts about the artifact and reactions to anything you shared.

Financial Analysis and Decision Making in Business Operations

    1. The Toledo Technology Company is analyzing a proposed project. The company expects to sell 10,000 units, give or take 10 percent. The expected variable cost per unit is $6 and the expected fixed cost is $29,000. The fixed and variable cost estimates are considered accurate within a plus or minus 4 percent range. The depreciation expense is $25,000. The tax rate is 34 percent. The sale price is estimated at $13 per unit, give or take 6 percent. What is the expected net income under the best case scenario?
    2. Alpha Investment Corporation., a Saskatchewan-based hedge fund, is planning to build a sports centre in Swift Current. The group spends $1,200,000 to buy land and to develop the parking lot. After completing these steps they terminate the project when they learn that another facility is going to be built close by. What option has the hedge fund exercised? Three years later, they still own the land and improvements.  How should they value these things if they decide at that time to complete the sports centre as originally planned?
    3. The Melville Manufacturing Company has an inventory period of 58 days, an accounts payable period of 45 days, and an accounts receivable period of 25 days. How long is the company’s cash cycle? Generally speaking, what sorts of things could happen whereby this company might see a decrease in its cash cycle?
    4. The Cypress Hills Furniture Corporation has a beginning cash balance of $482 on February 1st. The firm has projected sales of $550 in January, $700 in February, and $800 in March. The cost of goods sold is equal to 50% of sales. Goods are purchased one month prior to the month of sale. The accounts payable period is 30 days and the accounts receivable period is 15 days. The firm has monthly cash expenses of $200. What is the projected ending cash balance at the end of February? Assume that every month has 30 days.
    5. Many organizations are now using online banking, payment apps, and other electronic means for making and receiving payments. What are the implications of this societal change on float management?
    6. A company based in Montreal, Quebec has a cash balance of $35,000 as of June 1. During the month they paid $18,000 on account, $13,000 for wages, and $1,000 for other expense items. The company maintains a minimum cash balance of $10,000. Sales for the firm for April, May, and June are $15,000, $22,000, and $18,750, respectively. The company collects 50% of sales in the month of sale, 30% in the following month, and 20% in the second month following the month of sale. What is the cash surplus or deficit as of June 30, relative to the company’s required minimum cash balance?
    7. Serena’s co-op placement is with a consulting company in Winnipeg, in the treasury department. The job has been interesting and has kept Serena quite busy. She thought she was really starting to understand how things worked, but recently a senior finance department staff member commented that “It is quite important for our company to maintain a minimum cash balance of approximately $250,000 at all times. Often the cost of holding this much cash is greater than the return generated by the funds. Still, we have to do this.” Serena was puzzled by the comment. How would you explain this to her?
    8. The Jabez Corporation has asked for credit with your firm. Jabez has not done business with your firm previously, but the company’s operations manager has assured you that they will continue to do regular business with your firm. The company’s purchasing manager would like to buy some equipment today at a cost of $475,000, with 30 days credit. Your variable cost for that equipment is $460,000 and your monthly interest rate is 1.25 percent. Your research has shown that the probability of default for Jabez is 25 percent, which makes you a little reluctant to work with the company. What is the net present value of this decision?
