These Case Studies are created to test the student’s ability to reference previous knowledge or resources to find solutions to the cases by using critical thinking. Students may have to do additional research to find the materials they need to correctly answer the cases if they do not recall the information either in this class or from the related textbooks for this course. The cases resemble ‘real-life scenarios” that graduates may encounter. Be thorough in your explanations to questions posed in the Case Studies.

Students should reference where the student found the information to make the decision or answer the question. It is suggested that a previous textbook or the AHIMA Body of Knowledge be used as a resource.

Use APA 7th Edition Format and support your work with at least 3 peer-reviewed references within 5 years of publication. Remember that you need a cover page and a reference page. All paragraphs need to be cited properly. All responses must be in a narrative format and each paragraph must have at least 4 sentences. Lastly, you must have at least 2 pages of content, no greater than 3 pages, excluding cover page and reference page.

She has recently picked him up from a week-long stay at camp, and he stated his ear hurt so bad he was crying. When his mother looked at this ear, she noticed the outside canal was very swollen. He could not even touch his ear.
