Company Selection and Research:
Begin by selecting a well-known company that interests you. Ensure the company is publicly known for its innovative use of technology and information systems.
Conduct thorough research to understand how the chosen company employs information systems in its operations. 
Components Identification:
Identify and list the specific components of the information system that the company utilizes. These components include hardware, software, data, people, and processes.
For hardware, consider servers, networking equipment, devices, etc. For software, look at applications, platforms, and operating systems. Data encompasses customer data, analytics, and more. People refer to employees, customers, and stakeholders. Processes involve business workflows and procedures.
Integration Description:
Describe how these identified components work in harmony within the company’s operations. Explain how hardware and software interact to process and manage data. Highlight how people contribute to the system through data input, analysis, and decision-making.
Elaborate on how processes are streamlined and optimized through the integration of information systems, resulting in improved efficiency and accuracy.
Enhanced Efficiency, Decision-making, and Customer Experiences:

Instruction
Complete the First Screen template found on the Moodle site and prepare a summary of your findings and what you are thinking about for your proposed business. This analysis will help you understand how the industry is organized and how companies in the marketplace compete. This assignment should help you identify aspects of their business that differs from the competition and what makes their product/service unique. When you have completed the First Screen template, step back and evaluate the data you compiled. This should clearly tell a story about your business and what makes it unique and capable of competing in the market.
Describe succinctly what the opportunity is and make a compelling case for your business including these points:
Why have you chosen the entry point to start your venture?
What is a compelling need for your product/service?
Is a real problem being solved?
What indicates you will be able to compete successfully in the industry?
Review your First Screen Template response and identify the strengths of your business and the key issues in the industry that can impact your business. Describe your target market in detail and why you think your product/service will appeal to this or these markets. Ensure you can support this with a source verifying your belief. At this point, you must have a mission and vision statement, so indicate what these are for your business.
This will be our first look at the financial aspects of the business, so make sure you identify the costs associated with the business and your projected revenue and break-even point in terms of time and sales.
The last part asks you to identify your core strategy in the marketplace. Use the data you compiled from the Competitive Analysis Worksheet to help you determine this. Make sure you follow the rubric below.

QSO 320 Module One Assignment Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
For this assignment, you’ll set up a spreadsheet to track labor costs for the given scenario below. This assignment will give you practice in setting up a basic spreadsheet with calculations. You’ll also practice linking that data to another tab (worksheet). You’ll build on this assignment in future modules as you learn more about spreadsheet functionality.
Directions
First, create an Excel spreadsheet and name the document Labor Hours. Label the first tab of the document Data. Then complete the following steps:
1 In the Data tab, create a table with the following information:
A Employees’ names
B Each employee’s hourly rate
C The number of hours per day for five days for each employee
2 Use basic formulas to calculate the following:
A The total number of hours each employee worked for five days
B The labor cost for each employee
C The total labor cost for the project
3 In that same document (workbook), set up a separate tab labeled Data Link. In this tab, set up a blank table and fill the table by linking the cells to the data from the table you created in the Data tab.
Note: You might be tempted to copy and paste the table and formulas from the Data tab for this part of the assignment. However, it’s important that you learn to link data from one tab to another. In the real world, you could have a spreadsheet with multiple tables on multiple tabs all pulling from the same data set. If you copy data instead of linking it, you’ll have to update every table. However, if you link the data, all the tables will automatically update if any of the data changes.
Hint: On your separate worksheet, click on any cell that is importing data. You’ll see the name of the original worksheet (the name on the tab) followed by an exclamation point, before the cells are listed. For example: sheet1!A2.

You are looking at labor costs for a construction project using eight employees:

• Each employee worked eight hours a day for five days.
• The employees’ wages per hour are as follows:
