I wrote some instructions and pasted some from the assignment onto the document. I have also attached the Rubric for the assignment.

So, the assignment is to do a 17-page paper about anything.
I chose to do an assignment on getting to know my parents because I know very little about their pasts. I wrote the first two pages so you can read it and get a jist of what needs to be  added and what I’m talking about. and if you feel like anything needs to be added please do.  its at the point in the essay where I start to slowly introduce the interview. I need the entire interview put into essay format. so not just placing the interview there and saying done. But doing a like analysis of their responses and what you think it means in how they decided to raise me and my siblings. also to get some background I am a 20 year old Muslim from New York in his sophomore year about to be a junior of college. if you need any more info just let me know.

For your final essay for this class, you must write a 6-8 page research paper on a topic of your choosing.  This essay must consider at least two of the social theorists discussed over the course of the semester (or another, related social theorist, with instructor’s approval) and connect their work to some element of human social behavior.   
For example: you might choose to discuss a social ritual such as marriage and analyze it using the social theories of Emile Durkheim and Judith Butler.  Or, you might choose to write about a particular social situation, like a workplace, drawing on the work of Karl Marx and Erving Goffman.  The specific situation chosen matters less than the connections you are able to draw between it and the theorists we have read in the class.  Papers will be judged, primarily, on your ability to demonstrate that you know how to apply the work of social theorists we have read to specific sociological data, and that you are able to compare and contrast theorists effectively. 
The final paper is due at the end of the semester, May 22nd at 5pm.  It will be graded according to the following rubric: 
•    Description of relevant concept from social theorist, drawing 
on relevant quotes, summaries, and secondary scholarship 
where appropriate.           20 points each 
•    Careful, accurate description of the social phenomenon you
are analyzing with this essay.                                                                                           10 points 
•    Analysis of the situation through the combined lenses of your
 chosen social theorists.                                                                                                 40 points 
•    Proper essay structure, citations, formatting and spell-checking,
and overall care in presentation.                                                                                10 points 
Papers should have a formal thesis statement at the beginning, should describe the project and the structure of the paper itself, and should be well-structured internally, using signpost statements to mark the development of your argument.
Some theorist discussed is Émile Durkheim, Du Bois,Max Weber ,Arlie Hochschild.

Research Paper Assignment (worth 20 points)
The goal of this course is to identify and analyze the different literary genres of fiction, poetry and drama and understand how their respective elements affect their quality and context.  For this assignment, you must write a literary analysis research essay using the assigned readings from the Poetry Unit, the Drama Unit, and the Fiction Unit. 
STEP 1: Review Questions for Writing about Fiction / Critical Perspectives in the Fiction 101 folder. Choose either OPTION 1 or OPTION 2.
OPTION 1: Go to “Critical Perspectives” and choose Question 28. Identify one critical perspective to apply in your analysis.
OPTION 2: Go to “The Interpretation of Fiction” section, and choose from Question 12, Question 13, or Question 15. After you have chosen OPTION 1 or OPTION 2, select 8-10 texts from the syllabus to answer the question you chose; you must use at least one text from each Unit.  If you choose Question 15, go to STEP 1A. If you choose Question 12 or 13, go to STEP 2.
STEP 1A: If you choose Question 15, select one of the following topics to develop your thematic statement. Review the definition of thematic statement in the Fiction 101 folder. This statement will be the concept that applies to all the texts. Remember that a thematic statement is a complete sentence. Once you select your topic and thematic statement, proceed to STEP 2:

STEP 2: Next, do some research on your subject and see what information is available. Use the library catalogue and databases to locate research materials that provide a critical analysis of your essay topic. 
Use your previous assignments and notes to help formulate your essay! Here are your research source options:
A peer-reviewed journal publication.  A book that is a critical study and is factual / research-based (such as a psychology textbook or biography). A news source (such as Comic Book Resources, CNN or NYT).
STEP 3: In order to successfully complete this assignment, write an essay of 3500-4000 words in an approved 12 point font (see the syllabus).  To support your claims, you must include in-text citations from each text used, and include a Works Cited page. For standard MLA usage, it is understood that citation quotes from all the required sources should be included within the essay and those texts should be listed in the Works Cited.  Adhere to MLA format and paper guidelines; papers improperly formatted will be penalized. As you should know, the Works Cited page is not included towards the word count and cover pages are unacceptable.  Refer to your syllabus and EO  for formatting instructions. Note the syllabus “Grading Standards” for specific rubric.

I chose option 2 question question 13  Analyze the ironic dimensions of a story. Identify examples of irony, and explain their importance in the story.

What are you trying to prove? The argument isn’t clear. It isn’t enough to summarize irony, you must also make a claim.
Review heading format as mentioned in the syllabus. The heading belongs only on the 1st page; it doesn’t belong in your header.

Write a well-researched, coherent, and balanced analysis of writing strategies utilized in an academic text of your
choosing. For this assignment you must assume the role a critical academic reader and prepare an analysis that will
contribute to the academic community’s understanding of the composition and meaning of your academic text of your
choosing. In other words, you will reveal how a text is able to convey the meaning that it does by analyzing its use of
claims, evidence, and language. You will need to use at least two secondary sources (in additional to the academic
text you are analyzing, but not from Envision in Depth or Rules for Writers).
Your analysis is restricted to the following three writing strategies: claims (objective; personal); evidence
