  • Supporting Successful Reintegration: Resources and Solutions for People Released from Prison or Jail Introduction The reentry process for people released from prison or jail can be a daunting and challenging experience. With limited resources, support, and opportunities, many individuals struggle

The material you reviewed this week demonstrates the importance of outreach to people released from prison or county jails. For many people, release dates can be daunting, with nowhere to go, little to no money or resources, and a deep fear of returning to incarceration. In several instances, other issues like mental and behavioral health are not always addressed at the time of reentry (Martin & Garcia, 2022). This assignment asks you to consider what a person might need when they are ready to reenter society after serving time in county jail or prison. What resources would someone need? Consider everyday needs like groceries, transportation, and somewhere to sleep every night. This assignment is meant to have you think deeply about things many people take for granted but are huge challenges for people in the carceral system.

  • Title: The Power of Everyday Forms of Resistance in Shaping the Self and Society The concept of the self is a complex and ever-changing one. It is the individual’s understanding of their own identity, shaped by their experiences, beliefs, and

    Step one
Answer the following questions in full.  Remember that your responses should be as tangible as possible, meaning that your application of concepts (like self or everyday forms of resistance) should include real-life descriptions from society written in such a way that your reader can visualize (i.e., pinpoint, further research, relate to, etc.) what you are describing.
What is the self?  How does the self change over time?
What is meant by everyday forms of resistance?  Define the concept (you can use your previous assignment here) by sharing an experience about how you (or someone else you know) engaged in everyday forms of resistance within a social institution apart of your or their life.  Why did you (or they) do this and what was the outcome for your (or their) sense of self?
Although it may appear to be a micro-level concept, end your post by theorizing about how everyday forms of resistance can lead to more macro-level (social/structural) changes (note: this is something we will explore in more depth next week).  Do so by bringing in ideas from this week’s lessons on work, identity negotiations, etc. (so many creative ways you can go about this).
    Step Two
In at least 300 words, rewrite your answers to the above question by using them as guides to formulate a critical analytical essay.Links to an external site.

please reply to this discussion post in a conversational manner.
The use of social media will always be a widely contested debate if social media does more harm than good in teenagers’ lives. However, one thing that is not up for debate is social media is here to stay because of widely popular apps like TikTok, Youtube, and Snapchat. What was not surprising to me was that YouTube was the most popular app, just because of the variety of topics that are covered by the platform. One thing I found surprising is that some apps show different levels of usage depending on gender and racial demographics, with TikTok being used most by African American teenage girls. Another topic discussed in the article that I did not find surprising was the evolution of apps on social media. For example, Facebook was once the most popular social media app, but with time, new social media will come in to replace an app that becomes the most popular. App usage also is different based on gender. Teenage girls tend to use TikTok and Instagram more often than teenage boys. However, teenage boys tend to use YouTube and Twitch more often than teenage girls. I think this is become TikTok and Instagram is more interactive than apps like Youtube and Twitch. Parents have become concerned over many issues with social media, such as explicit content made easily available and time management issues teenagers seem to have while using social media. Parental awareness is crucial for monitoring the content their children are being exposed too. Never the less, there is a disconnection that parents and teenagers seem to have when it comes to social media usage.
