Title: Workplace Violence at XYZ Company: A Case Study Analysis Introduction: The case study “In Hindsight, We could See it Coming” from the Nalbandian text discusses a workplace violence incident that occurred at XYZ Company. The case
Case Study- Workplace Violence-“In Hindsight, We could See it Coming – Nalbandian text. Please develop case study analysis utilizing the questions at the end of the case study as a guide for your narrative.
GUIDELINES FOR WRITING A CASE STUDY ANALYSIS
A case study analysis requires the investigation a business problem, examination of the alternative solutions, and selection of the most effective solution using supporting evidence.
Before you begin writing, follow these guidelines to help you prepare and understand the case study:
Read and examine the case thoroughly
Take notes, highlight relevant facts, underline key problems.
2. Focus your analysis
Identify two to five key problems
Why do they exist?
How do they impact the organization?
Who is responsible for them?
Uncover possible solutions
Review course readings, discussions, outside research, your experience.
Select the best solution
Consider strong supporting evidence, pros, and cons: is this solution realistic?
Drafting the Case
Once you have gathered the necessary information, a draft of your analysis should include these sections:
1. Introduction
Identify the key problems and issues in the case study.
Formulate and include a thesis statement, summarizing the outcome of your analysis in 1–2 sentences.
2. Background
Set the scene: background information, relevant facts, and the most important issues.
Demonstrate that you have researched the problems in this case study.
3. Alternatives
Outline possible alternatives (not necessarily all of them)
Explain why alternatives were rejected
Constraints/reasons
Why are alternatives not possible at this time?
4. Proposed Solution
Provide one specific and realistic solution
Explain why this solution was chosen
Support this solution with solid evidence
Concepts from class (text readings, discussions, lectures)
Outside research
Personal experience (anecdotes)
5. Recommendations
Determine and discuss specific strategies for accomplishing the proposed solution. If applicable, recommend further action to resolve some of the issues
What should be done and who should do it?
Finalizing the Case
After you have composed the first draft of your case study analysis, read through it to check for any gaps or inconsistencies in content or structure: Is your thesis statement clear and direct? Have you provided solid evidence? Is any component from the analysis missing?
When you make the necessary revisions, proofread and edit your analysis before submitting the final draft. (Refer to Proofreading and Editing Strategies (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.to guide you at this stage.)
Please develop case study analysis and answer the questions at the end of the case study. -
Title: Exploring Central Tendency and Variability for Positive Social Change Using the General Social Survey Dataset
For this Discussion, you will examine central tendency and variability based on two separate variables. Based on the data results, you will also explore the implications for positive social change.
From the General Social Survey dataset found in this week’s Learning Resources, choose one continuous and one categorical variable. As you review, consider the implications for positive social change based on the results of your data.
Post, present, and report a descriptive analysis for your variables, explicitly noting the following:
For your continuous variable:
Report the mean, median, and mode.
What might be the better measure for central tendency? (i.e., mean, median, or mode) and why?
Report the standard deviation.
How variable are the data?
How would you describe this data?
What sort of research question would this variable help answer that might inform social change?
Post the following information for your categorical variable:
A frequency distribution.
An appropriate measure of variation.
How variable are the data?
How would you describe this data?
What sort of research question would this variable help answer that might inform social change?
I have included course references for you. -
“Strategies for Ethical Recruitment in Research Studies: Balancing Time Commitment and Participant Engagement”
Chapter 4 Discussion:
Assume you are conducting a study but having trouble recruiting participants. You can reach people, but they seem turned off by the time commitment and decline to participate. How might you address the recruitment problem while remaining ethical? Discuss at least one strategy to improve recruitment and at least two potential ethical concerns.
Discussion Board Instructions:
APA Citations Required
The online discussions pose an opportunity for rich and meaningful student learning and interaction. Online discussions extend classroom learning by providing an asynchronous method of communication for the exchange of meaningful ideas that promote critical thinking and develop thoughtful reflective learning. All students are expected to participate in each weekly discussion. These forums will be grounded in critical thinking.
You are to develop an answer (minimum 250 words) concerning the question, and post your reply to the appropriate discussion section. Consider the following when you post: • Is the contribution mechanically clear enough for readers to understand the points being made?
• Is the contribution on time?
• Does the contribution meet the minimum length requirements?
• Does the contribution reference assigned readings or other resources?
• Does the post contain “critical thinking” that is indicative of the paradigms in the field?
• Are the ideas communicated with respect for those who may dissent?
Other things to consider:
• Please be professional and courteous.
• Online communication lacks the non-verbal cues that provide much of the meaning in face-to-face conversations. Choose your words carefully, phrase your sentences clearly, and keep your sentences and paragraphs brief.
• Review appropriate “Netiquette” at http://www.albion.com/netiquette/
• State the main topic of your posting in the Subject line.
• State your purpose for writing at or near the beginning of your message whenever possible.
• Proofread what you post. You may want to use a word processor to draft what you intend to say, check your spelling and grammar, and then paste your text into the Message section of your posting.
• Please do not use all capital letters. It makes it hard to read, and it comes across as though you were shouting. -
