Discussion 2: Designing a High School Curricula (Ch. 6)
Imagine you are designing a high school curricula. What courses would be offered and why? Which courses should be required, and which should be left as electives? Why? Consider traditional academic subjects, instruction more directly relevant to work, family, leisure, and citizenship, and classes in “general education”—in subjects such as art, home economics, health, sex education, driver education, and personal finance.
Critical Discussion Includes:
Discussing the presented information and connecting it back to the textbook chapters covered thus far. Discussing your opinion of the point mentioned, why you hold that opinion, and how that opinion can be supported by the material in the textbook.
How you see the information presented as consistent/inconsistent with what you have learned so far, making sure to mention specifics from the textbook and lectures.

The essay is an argumentative style essay. The research question must remain the same, but the prompt can be altered to fit better, although it should still be similair to the research question. I attached an outline that I made, please use it as a reference for general ideas, and not as a strict guideline. It also includs an annotated bibliography, I would prefer for at least half the sources in it to be used for the actual essay, but even just 1-2 is fine.
Here is my research question: What effect does being raised in harsh environments have on people’s mental health later in their life?
And the prompt: Childhood experiences in harsh environments can profoundly shape mental health trajectories into adulthood.
Here are the instructions for the assigment:
APA Style
The abstract is between 150 and 250 words.
The abstract is in one paragraph.
The abstract includes the research questions/problems, research purpose, research methods/types of research included, conclusions, and implications of the research.

I need 5 sources with the topic that I choose. Each source must be summarized 1-2 pargrahs each explaining it and what the study was done and why it is important for my paper, which wll be a literature review for a capstone class. It has to be a scholary article/ source that is peer-reviewed. The topic is eating disorders and academic performance in adolescents.

Program evaluation is an essential function of counselors. In fact, program evaluation is the primary form of research in which most counselors engage. Program evaluation is a way that counselors can systematically evaluate the programs and interventions for effectiveness and stakeholder satisfaction. Choose one type of mechanoreceptor. Discuss what the perception of touch would be like for a person lacking that specific mechanoreceptor. Are there things that would remain normal? What aspects of touch would change?
Proprioception is something most of us take for granted. Ian Waterman’s case shows us the outcome of losing this ability. Think about why something like proprioception is necessary for humans. What do these cases show us about the importance of proprioception? Comment on the necessity for this sense to be completed imperceptibly or unconsciously.

This is for a capstone class we need to write a literature review on 8 peer-reviewed articles. Research the topic and collect articles, and tie them all in together how they relate. it has to follow a logical progression.  Along with an annotated reference list for 5 of the articles. I choose the topic and will upload the bullet points that I want it to follow. I have also found 2 references to start with
