This is a critical reflection on an initial assessment that I have done previously. The initial research plan was quite underwhelming and needed quite a lot of improvement. The task for now is to develop and critically reflect on the previous assignment about the being an agent of change for the topic/title that I have chosen “Developing Critical Literacy is Essential for Discerning Potential Bias Journalism in the Digital Era”.
I will include the a document which includes my initial research plan and feedback that I got. Additionally I will include the instruction for this particular assignment and the resources that must be included in this task.

This essay just wants us to chose what would we prefer more freedom or more secuirty. We were not provided with any other instructions other than we have to have 3 sources.

The exposé on the topic “Challenges and Prospects of EU-Turkey Accession Negotiations: A Critical Analysis of Political, Economic, and Cultural Aspects” must provide a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the EU-Turkey accession negotiations. The research question guiding this analysis is: “Do the differences in culture and society create obstacles for engagement between the EU and Turkey?” The exposé should be 2700 words in length.

In this paper please describe how the conflict in Israel-Palestine is not just black and white, 
rather there are lots of grey. Israelis are not fully against Palestinians and Palestinians are 
not fully against Israelis. Most just want peace. Below I have attached topic names that can make your reserch easier.
This aper will be about Israelis and Israeli groups that sympathize with Palestinians and 
there fight against oppression. It will require 5 SCHOLARLY SOURCES and 3 newspaper articles

The essay question is “Do horizon scanning techniques and an anticipatory governance mindset offer the potential to deliver substantially better policy? Or do they increase the risk of misplaced complacency and succumbing to a control fallacy?”
The course covered basic concepts of futures thinking, which attempts to anticipate the future full of uncertainty and how governments can utilise the techniques. I attach zip files including lecutre materials and related articles. In the ‘Articles’ folder, I put AA to the material that well cover related concepts. The ones with A explains the concept in detail. The word file is written by our lecturer himself so it would be a great help.
If you use some case studies, I would appreciate it if you touch scientific and innovation policies. I attach related government reports or links below as well.

500 words plan for Research Essay. I have started on the plan, however, I got a little bit confused on the best way to continue them.
Include at least 10 academic resources.

I already have a topic memo completed ( has thesis statetment and bib) which is your base for this essay, encourgarged to use only the provided resources but if you really need to change it then let me know and no more then 11 resources. 
Each student will write a research paper based upon the Topic Selection Memo outlined above and the peer review feedback from Eli Review. Strong papers should have a clear research question, state a clear falsifiable argument or thesis, and provide evidence to support the argument and counter alternative arguments. The final paper should be at least 2,500 words long (and no more than 3,750 words), not including the bibliography 
The structure of the essay is fairly straightforward — it’s a standard argumentative essay: question, thesis, evidence and analysis, and rebuttals to counterarguments. • Question: What is the research question and why is it important? • Thesis: What is your primary argument regarding the question? • Evidence: What evidence do you have to support your claim? Be sure to define key terms, provide information from the literature that supports your argument. Since you’ll be drawing on existing papers for evidence, cite extensively to make it clear which papers each piece of evidence is drawn from. • Argument/Analysis: Cite specific pieces of evidence (facts, data, interpretation) from the articles you’ve gathered to make and support your argument • Rebuttals to Counterarguments: If you argue that X caused Y, consider whether there are reasonable claims that some other factor Z caused Y. If you argue that X is increasing, consider reasonable perspectives that X is not increasing or is decreasing. If you argue that X was successful, make a good effort to present why someone might argue that X was not successful. Paper Prompt on China’s Future
For the following essay, write a five to seven page paper addressing one of the following prompts. Make sure to incorporate David Shambaugh’s China’s Future as well as the text’s arguments and evidence into your essays and address the main issues raised by the book.  Your essays will be due on May 23rd, 2024 on Canvas by the end of the day.  Please make sure your papers  follow these formatting guidelines:
•    Separate cover page
•    Standard 12 point Font such as Times, Times New Roman, or Helvetica
•    Normally spaced margins and double-spacing
•    Proper form of citation with a works cited page if using outside sources
•    A total of five to seven pages (not including cover page and works cited)
With respect to the four pathways referenced by Shambaugh, what will be China’s pathway? Why would that pathway be the most likely and how would it come about?  In your answer, refer to the economic, social, political, and global reasons why that pathway is the most probable. And explain why the other three pathways are less likely than the one you discuss.  Finally, compare and contrast your analysis with that of Shambaugh to explain how your outcome mirrors or differs from that of the author of China’s Future.   
Why has China not yet become a democracy?  Address the factors and features of China’s polity, society, and economy that explain why China has not adopted a democratic form of government.  What prevents its emergence and formation in China?  What encourages its emergence and formation?  Referring back to the Narrow Corridor, what keeps China outside the corridor?  Why hasn’t a red queen effect taken hold in China as of yet?    In your essay, address both the comparative understanding of democracy and the theory of modernization as well as the present day realities of contemporary China under Xi JInping and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP.   Will democracy and liberty ever emerge in China?  Why or why not?  
What has changed in the last nine years in China that alters Shambaugh’s assessment of China’s future from when he wrote this book in 2015?  What events, policies, shifts, and actions have altered China’s pathway?  Or have they, in fact, altered that pathway at all?  In your essay, address what Shambaugh explains has led China to the current pathway, and then engage why China has or has not deviated from that pathway.  Be sure to engage the political, economic, and social dimensions of what has happened in China in the last eight years by using at least four outside academic and/or journalistic sources.
