  • “Improving Outcomes through Evidence-Based Care and Remote Collaboration: A Proposal for the Vila Health Patient” “Supporting Your Argument: The Importance of Evidence in Persuasive Writing”

Create a 5-10 minute video of yourself, as a presenter, in which you will propose an evidence-based plan to improve the outcomes the patient in the provided case study, and examine how remote collaboration provided benefits or challenges to designing and delivering the care
As technologies and the health care industry continue to evolve, remote care, diagnosis, and collaboration are becoming increasingly more regular methods by which nurses are expected to work. Learning the ways in which evidence-based models and care can help remote work produce better outcomes will become critical for success. Additionally, understanding how to leverage EBP principles in collaboration will be important in the success of institutions delivering quality, safe, and cost-effective care. It could also lead to better job satisfaction for those engaging in remote collaboration.
For this assessment, you are a presenter! You will create a 5–10-minute video using Kaltura or similar software. In the video:
Propose an evidence-based care plan that you believe will improve the safety and outcomes of the patient in the case study presented in the Assessment 04 Supplement: Remote Collaboration and Evidence-Based Care [PDF] Download Assessment 04 Supplement: Remote Collaboration and Evidence-Based Care [PDF]resource. Add your thoughts on what more could be done for the patient and what more information may have been needed.
Discuss the ways in which an EBP model and relevant evidence helped you to develop and make decisions about the plan you proposed
Wrap up your video by identifying the benefits of the remote collaboration in the scenario, as well as discuss strategies you found in the literature or best practices that could help mitigate or overcome one or more of the collaboration challenges you observed in the scenario.
Be sure you mention any articles, authors, and other relevant sources of evidence that helped inform your video. Discuss why these sources of evidence are credible and relevant. Important: You are required to submit an APA-formatted reference list of the sources you cited specifically in your video or used to inform your presentation. You are required to submit a narrative of all your video content to this assessment and to SafeAssign.
Make sure that your video addresses the following grading criteria:
Propose your own evidence-based care plan to improve the safety and outcomes for a patient in the provided case study.
Explain the ways in which you used an EBP model to help develop your plan of care for the client.
Reflect on which evidence you found in your search that was most relevant and useful when making decisions regarding your care plan.
Identify benefits and strategies to mitigate the challenges of interdisciplinary collaboration to plan care within the context of a remote team.
Communicate in a professional manner that is easily audible and uses proper grammar, including a reference list formatted in current APA style.
By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and scoring guide criteria:
Competency 2: Analyze the relevance and potential effectiveness of evidence when making a decision.
Reflect on which evidence you collected that was most relevant and useful when making decisions regarding the care plan.
Competency 3: Apply an evidence-based practice model to address a practice issue.
Explain the ways in which you used the specific evidence-based practice model to help develop the care plan identifying what interventions would be necessary. This requires a particular evidence-based model, such as the Johns Hopkins, Iowa, Stetler, or other.
Competency 4: Plan care based on the best available evidence.
Propose your evidence-based care plan to improve the safety and outcomes for the Vila Health patient with a discussion of new content for the care plan.
Competency 5: Apply professional, scholarly communication strategies to lead practice changes based on evidence.

    Introduction
Successful deployment of a new health care technology requires that your team be well trained in its use. Nurse leaders have many options to choose from when considering an effective training strategy, among which is the use of Web conferencing technologies, such as webinars, used to deliver training remotely to a geographically dispersed audience.
This assessment provides an opportunity for you to develop a presentation to introduce staff personnel to the new or upgraded telehealth technology that was the focus of your previous assessments.
    Preparation
Because a critical goal of your overall training strategy is to orient your staff to new technology, you have decided to develop an orientation webinar to deliver the training remotely using Web conferencing technologies.
To prepare for the assessment, you are encouraged to think about how you might use Web conferencing technologies, such as webinars, to deliver training to nursing staff. You may also want to begin thinking about how you will approach the design of your webinar presentation slides.
In addition, you may wish to:
Review the assessment instructions and scoring guide to ensure that you understand the work you will be asked to complete.
Review the Guiding Questions: Staff Training Session [DOCX] Download Guiding Questions: Staff Training Session [DOCX], which includes questions to consider and additional guidance on how to successfully complete the assessment.
Note: As you revise your writing, check out the resources listed on the Writing Center’s Writing Support page.
    Audiovisual Equipment Setup and Testing

    Instructions
Social media use is critical to a dynamic and competitive brand, whether that brand is something you sell, a group home, a non-profit organization, or your self-image. This project will get you thinking about effective ways to shape your social media tools to make the most of your brand, to keep consumers talking and thinking about your brand, and to get interaction from those you seek to sell to or to help. You will take a look at what you post to social media, possible responses or reactions you will receive, as well as use social media trends and society controls to keep your brand meeting your goals.
Your final project should include a plan for the following: how you will utilize a minimum of four social media sites; what your target audience will be; your use of contacts, outreach, and advertising best practices; your posting do’s and don’ts; and explanations of your choices using the sources from the course and others you find.
If you have a real business, brand, or site to work on, you can start by putting the site profiles into the four social media sites you have chosen (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Screenshots will work for these that you have really made. If you don’t really have a business or brand, you do not need to create faux profiles. However, you should write the information you would include in your profile for each one.
In summary, your plan should contain:
An introduction to your brand or company
Your social media goals and general goals for the brand
An analysis of the market comparables — similar businesses/nonprofits/brands, including what has been successful and what hasn’t worked for at least 3 good comparable brands
Discussion of societal norms for those comparables. What seem to be the “rules” they follow? Is there open or tacit regulation you’ve noticed? Include how you can expand your influence globally by overcoming potential language and culture barriers.
An analysis of advertising and its necessity along with the type of advertising you would do and why
An outline of the audience you intend to reach and how to reach them. Be sure to take into account the factors that are in play when attempting to reach an audience that includes a wide range of ages (consider generational differences)
A plan for how to use your contacts and add new ones when publicizing and staying connected
A plan for each of four social media sites, including profile information and posting ideas
Analysis of any of the theories you would use – below are the theories previously discussed…
    schema/script theory
    cultivation theory
    agenda-setting theory
    social learning
    gratifications theory
    A conclusion
Your project lengths will depend on how much depth you put into your analysis of each section, but to give you a general idea, several paragraphs for most of the bullet points is a good length, and should result in a total of around 10 pages. Be sure to use at least 2 credible sources.
SOURCES SHOULD BE NO OLDER THAN 5 YEARS
