The media portray many images of nursing, some favorable and some unfavorable.
Does media portrayal of nursing affect how patients perceive nurses as authority figures? Why or why not? Think about nursing stereotypes and discuss the ways you can influence the public image of nursing.
Discuss the various roles nurses can play that support the real image of nursing. Think about community health care and preventive services for all, but especially the underserved.

Develop a substantial initial post addressing all the points below:
Discuss the pathophysiology of type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Develop a nutritional education plan for a person with type 1 diabetes and a person with type 2 diabetes.

These Case Studies are developed to assess the student’s ability to reference previous knowledge or use of critical thinking to find solutions to the cases. Students may have to use resources to locate the information they need to correctly answer the cases. These include previous course texts or Internet searches, although most of the concepts have been discussed in previous course work. The cases resemble ‘real-life scenarios” that graduates may encounter. Be resourceful and apply concepts to answer the questions. Justify your reasoning and/or provide your reference for each case.

Start by opening CPT Assistant, then click on “By Subject”, you then can look each of the procedures and/or diagnoses listed in the assignment to see if you can find a reference listed.
If you do not find one listed in the CPT Assistant, then search Coding Clinic the same way. And, finally, search Coding Clinic for HCPCS the same way. Be searching all three you should be able to find a reference for each of the procedures and/or diagnoses listed.

Read the scenario below about a situation occurring in a cardiac rehabilitation facility. After reading the scenario, write a 500-750-word reflection paper responding to the questions that follow.
Scenario:
You are the nurse leader in a cardiac rehabilitation facility. Your unit has several nurses who act as preceptors for nursing students from the local college. You notice that the student nurses seem to lack confidence in using the ISBAR communication tool for handoffs. One day, you overhear a student saying: “I hate doing handoffs; I’m afraid of making a mistake. The nurses all seem to use ISBAR differently.”
