  • “Exploring Ethical Dilemmas: An Annotated Bibliography on [Topic]”

Step 1- Annotated Bibliography:  At the top of the paper, you will write out your thesis, which should include (1) the topic you chose to write on, (2) the position you plan to take on that issue, and (3) three major arguments you plan to use to support your position. You also need to find 7 sources, 4 of which are scholarly (remember that the other 3 still need to be legitimate), and list them in either APA or MLA format. For the annotations, you need to have two or three sentences for each source explaining the article and how it will be applied in your paper. Remember that proper formatting is important. Use the OWL at Purdue website for help with formatting.
just concentrate on step onr for now but have the side note still in mind
Side not:  In the paper, you will make arguments that support your position, as well as identify and assess possible counterarguments and rebuttals to these counterarguments. As a conclusion, you should consider possible solutions to the dilemma you present. Remember not to get hung up on the legal or scientific aspects of the case. Your primary concern needs to be the ethics.
This will be a multistep process, with smaller assignments being submitted and evaluated at various due dates.

  • “Empowering Harm Minimisation: A Resource for Pharmacists and Drug Users”

    Purpose
To create a resource to assist in harm minimisation for pharmacists
    Task details
Pharmacists have a vital role in the education of patients about harm minimisation – in the past, pharmacists may overestimate their knowledge of illicit drugs or fail to counsel patients in a culturally safe way. There is also a wide range of excellent resources for users of drugs but the uptake of these resources can be limited.
I want you to create some form of resource for users of drugs to assist with harm minimisation. You have full creative control of what kind of form you would like this resource to be – it could be a presentation, a poster, a video, a written file or anything that you think would be relevant for your target market.
    Instructions
For this case study, I would like you to demonstrate your knowledge and ability to translate the complex scientific concepts that you have learned in this subject and distil them into a form that is palatable for a target market (I suggest that this would be one drug and one usage level according to schaffers model, but if you could target specific audiences such as LGTBIQ+, ethnic groups or some other market that would be great, and if you want to cover multiple drugs then go for it).
You can work in groups but please make the work equivalent to about 10-minutes of video per person, or 1000-1500 words.
Please follow the rubric for the best ideas.

  • “Managing Hypertension: Understanding the Silent Killer and Taking Control of Your Health”

Main Instruction: In Unit 3 you chose the chronic disease you wish to research further, and wrote a rough draft of your introductory paragraph. In the Unit 5 learning activity you will be preparing an annotated bibliography, which must include at least three professional references that you plan to use to research your Unit 8 assignment.
FYI: This is the rough draft of the introductory paragraph:
People all over the world are
affected by hypertension, also known as high blood pressure. This happens when
the force of blood against artery walls is consistently too high, putting
stress on the heart. It’s also called the “silent killer” since it
doesn’t usually cause or show symptoms in the beginning. Leaving it untreated
can lead to heart disease, strokes, and kidney problems. Bad diet, obesity, and a sedentary lifestyle have been linked to the causes of hypertension. In some
cases, prescription medication may be needed to treat hypertension. Lifestyle
changes which include a healthy diet, regular exercise, reduction of stress,
and stress management may also help to manage it. It’s important to know about
high blood pressure, how it affects our health, and be careful in our lifestyle
to prevent or handle it to stay healthy.
