Your focus on this PAA is not on the CE (that should be the shortest section); the RO section allows you to reframe the situation. The AC section is where you integrate and synthesize the course material and your AE is your application of these concepts. You can also use other appropriate sources to support your statements.

PRINCIPLED NEGOTIATION AND PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS
SLP Assignment Expectations
This Module’s SLP is intended to allow you to apply the process of principled negotiation in an experiential way. Using the assigned background readings, as well as some independent research of your own, apply principled negotiation to a real life, practical case. Be sure to use subheadings to show where you are responding to each required item.
Identify an organization (without revealing proprietary information), and explain a specific conflict or issue that was negotiated using principled negotiation. Do not re-use a conflict/situation presented earlier in this course.
How were the four points of principled negotiation used? Be as specific as you can in describing each.
What were the defined interests of each side?
How did the negotiation resolve? Was it successful? What changes could you recommend to improve the process?
What was your side’s BATNA? If one was not needed because of successful resolution, what do you think a valid BATNA for your side would have been?

Identify a leader in the community (campus, neighborhood, place of worship, non-profit, etc.) and interview (face-to-face/Video conference) this person. Formulate your questions for the interview in advance. 
Objectives for your interview:
Gain a greater understanding of the leader’s role and views on leadership.
Identify their approach to leadership.
Expand on how that person carries out that leadership theory in practice.
In your paper, you must identify: 
(1) why you chose this person, 
(2) your reflections on the leader, 
(3) their style of leadership, and 
(4) lessons learned from the interview.

What are the experiences that shape them as a leader?

Identify at least one scholarly article to support or further explore your findings regarding leadership theory and/or approach in your interview.  
Be sure to utilize your textbook as an additional reference in this paper. 
I will grade these papers based upon your ability to apply what you have learned in this course when interviewing and reporting your findings.
What leadership theory best defines the leader you interviewed?
Are there any traits, skills, behaviors, situations that have influenced the leader you interviewed? 
Approach this interview and paper with a curious mindset. Figure out what type of leader you consider this individual to be and what contributed to them being in their current leadership role. 
The paper should be between 4-6 pages, not including the cover page or abstract, and written in 7th edition APA Style format.
