  • The Impact of World War I on Poetry: A Comparative Analysis of Yeats, Owen, and Brooke

Read and respond to these poems with a very brief summary and your thoughts.
This response should be 3-4 pages, Times New Roman, 12-point, double-spaced, MLA style. Make sure you have a strong thesis and use supporting evidence to back your claims.
If you use outside sources, then you MUST include in-text citations and a Works Cited. If you read a source and take information from it, that is paraphrasing, and, thus, you need to include an in-text citation. Don’t use long quotes as filler: if you use a long quotation, then your response needs to be longer.
    PLAGIARISM
You are expected to write primarily in your own voice, using paraphrase, summary, and synthesis techniques when integrating information from class and outside sources. Use an author’s exact words only when the language is especially vivid, unique, or needed for technical accuracy. Failure to do so may result in charges of academic dishonesty.
Overusing an author’s exact words, such as including block quotations to meet word counts, may lead your readers to conclude that you lack appropriate comprehension of the subject matter or that you are neither an original thinker nor a skillful writer.

  • “The Vital Role of the Humanities in Shaping a Successful Career in Physical Therapy”

Many are confused as to why they are required to take classes in the humanities since it does not have clear or obvious baring on their chosen academic major. For this option you are invited to author a 1,300 to 1,500-word examining the relationship between the humanities and the profession you plan to pursue (or are now at work in). Draw on, implement and/or critically evaluate course materials to address the question, “How can the humanities help me in my (future) profession”? Students are encouraged to do original research beyond assigned course materials to meaningfully explore and offer an original assessment of how the humanities relates, in ways that are clear or perhaps harder to appreciate, to their (future) career in fields including but not limited to healthcare, practicing law, performing arts, media design, law enforcement, childcare, education, mechanics, entrepreneurial endeavors, and other fields.

  • Title: Designing Effective Instruction: A Lesson Plan Using the Dick and Carey Model for Teaching Language Skills

    Instruction
Revise the instructional design models in the presentation. Explore the suggested web resources. Download the Puerto Rico Core Standards. Choose one of the following instructional design models (Dick & Carey, ADDIE, Kemp, ASSURE, or Gagne) and plot out a unit implementing the elements of that design. In the introduction of your lesson plan (about two paragraphs), use at least three references for justifying your choice of design, and explain how that design is beneficial for the lesson you are planning. Briefly explain each element of your chosen design. For the needs analysis (what they should know), goals, objectives or performance outcomes refer to the Puerto Rico Program of Core Standards for the grade level you are working with or those of the state you live in.
Create a Lesson Plan for three days (1 hour period each day) based on an instructional design. Cover the four language domains in your plans. Include these sections: Standards, topic, content objectives and language objectives per day, materials and resources, instructional activities/strategies with procedures, and assessments addressing the four language domains (distributed throughout the three days). In terms of the similarity index, you are permitted up to 25%.
Be sure to observe the rubric for evaluation specifications. Remember to include all the elements of the instructional design used.
Contribute a minimum of 2 pages. It should include at least 2 academic sources, formatted and cited in APA.

You can feel free to make up details or change whatever you want. You have the freedom to add what you might think would improve it, making it a bit more emotional/touching would be nice. I just need a good story.
