For this discussion, you will watch the American Experience documentary “My Lai.” After you have completed the film, you will answer the questions below.
1. What did you learn from the documentary, and how did it affect you?

Asian American identity was born in the late 1960s and early 1970s in relation to the Ethnic Studies Movement and the Third World Liberation Front (TWLF) strikes in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Review the demands of the TWLF and the experiences of student activists during the strikes. Why did Chinese, Japanese, and Filipinx American university students go on strike at SF State, UC Berkeley, and Sacramento State? What were their demands, and how did their movement help develop Asian American identity and community activism?

A traditional research paper that makes an argument based on interpreting primary 
sources. The topic I chose is how war destroys people’s lives and it is not worth the damage that it causes specifically using the daily life of people during the battle of Hong Kong in December of 1941. The paper should have Chicago style citations and must have footnotes. It must be double spaced in 12 font times new roman and have 1 inch margins. Avoid passive voice and use active voice.
