This assessment is based on the following scenario:
Patient scenario: Your office is seeing a new patient for the first time (new patient consults are $500).
In your role as the reimbursement specialist for a large primary care office, outline the different reimbursement options to which the practice is subject for the providers in the group.

This assessment has two parts.
Part 1: Provider Reimbursement Options
Present (at least) the four main reimbursement options that your provider in the scenario would likely have for a new patient consult. Describe the options and comment on potential drawbacks or additional considerations to take into account with each model. Also, consider the likelihood and challenges of recouping the entirety of the consult charges for the patient.
Relevant scoring guide criteria:
Describe drawbacks of the fee-for-service reimbursement model.

Describe drawbacks of the capitation reimbursement model as it relates to providing comprehensive services.

Identify and explain the potential payment options that would be available to the patient and your care provider if the patient in for the new patient consult had been uninsured. Also, be sure to discuss the ways that a patient could qualify for specific payment options, as well as the rationale for the associated appointment charge.

Describe payment options for uninsured patients, including how the patient would qualify for each option.
Adhere to the rules of grammar, usage, and mechanics.

Three interconnected parts/steps (think of the following as a rough outline):
(1) Introduce, briefly: philosophers, texts, and topic to be discussed, AND your thesis (i.e., your view of the good life in relation to Russell’s).
(2) Explain and analyze Bertrand Russell’s conception of the good life (though he calls it happiness) and connect his conception with two other philosophers we have read since the last paper, including either Simone de Beauvoir or Nell Noddings).  Introduce the other philosophers to explain or critique Russell or, later, to begin to develop your thesis.
(3) Explain as your thesis–as stated at the start of your paper– whether you agree/disagree with Russell and why? You have a lot of leeway here to state, clarify, and give reasons for your own views on the good life, so far.
Remember to give reasons in your explanation and analysis.  If you say you think/believe X, then continue: “I think X, because…” And when you give your reasons, then also imagine, as a way to develop your thinking through a dialog, how any of the other philosophers you are discussing might respond.

Background
A Health Informatics Exchange (HIE) analytics plan that highlights opportunities to inform evidence-based care can be an effective approach to demonstrate the HIE’s role in enabling a learning health system model.
