“Sustainable Urban Mobility in Singapore: Policies, Outcomes, and Future Prospects”
The topic for this paper will be on singapore and on its Sustainable urban mobility, here is a quick guidline for this paper:
The topic of the final project shall be related to what you see as “your” city or region and the potential you see in existing practices, or in tackling certain issues that challenge the future development of your city in terms of inclusion and belonging, respectively in terms of an ecologically sustainable “good life” in the city. The analysis can take the shape of an essay, article, film, or different kind of artwork. It should, however, analyze a specific topic related to the chosen city through the lens of one or more papers, articles, projects, or films discussed in class. You can, for example, highlight a problem related to social or ecological sustainability in “your city”, analyzing the situation in detail, and then make propositions of how to improve it, citing specific projects we have visited or discussed in class. You can also document and analyze what you would consider to be a best practice model, a project that works very well in your city and that you might propose as a role model for other contexts.
I have also included a pdf detailing everything step by step what needs to be inculded and how it should be formatted. Also use the powerpoint presentation to know the outline i have chosen for this paper as it is based of this powerpoint.
the outline goes as follows:

Compare with another city’s transportation initiatives (e.g., Copenhagen) to draw parallels and identify unique practices.
Recommendations and Future Prospects

topic chosen:
ELECTRICITY AND WATER – Trim the fat off your excess energy consumption by reducing your
water and electricity needs by at least 50%. To do this, you can do the following things: turn the lights
off when you’re not around; turn on only one light instead of two; replace incandescent light bulbs with
fluorescent bulbs; read next to a window; leave the TV and the stereo off; don’t leave your computer and
all its accessories on when you are not using them (use the hibernate mode); cook meals that don’t
require lots of burners at once or long cooking times; use the microwave instead of the stove or oven;
take a shower at half the usual duration; turn the water down in the shower so it’s not full blast; take a
cooler shower; don’t leave the water running while washing, shaving, brushing your teeth, or washing
dishes; skip the blow dryer and electric razor; don’t use any unnecessary appliances; run the washing
machine and dishwasher only when totally full; and hang laundry to dry instead of using the dryer. If
you do all of these things it is possible to cut your consumption by 50% or more. The first week, you’ll
do this on two days, and you will add one more day each week, until you have four days for the last
