Prepare and submit a ten-page research paper on an assigned topic regarding crisis management. Your paper answer must answer the questions:

Your paper will be double-spaced, 12 pt. font, and follow the APA writing style to include the proper structuring for citations. Please refer to the rubric for clarification on grading criteria.

Describe how emergencies differ from disasters and why these definitions are relevant in a response context. Develop a logistical plan on what documentation will be needed from you when you respond to a disaster recognized by FEMA. What concerns would you have, how are you going to address your concerns, what potential issues might occur, etc.

Describe the overall purpose of the National Disaster Response Framework, including the intended audience. Name and briefly describe the five guiding principles and the seven community lifelines. Define and describe the National Incident Management System, including the roles and responsibilities for response of Local, State, Federal, Territorial, Private Sector, NGO Coordinating Structures, and other Federal Department and Agency Authorities. Define and describe the Emergency Support Functions and Federal Regional Facilities.

An article review is a writing piece that summarizes and assesses someone else’s article. It entails
understanding the central theme of the article, supporting arguments, and implications for further research.
A review has specific guidelines and format to write. It can be either a critical review or a literature review.
A critical analysis deals with a specific type of text in detail, while a literature review is a broader kind of
document.
Moreover, an article review is important because of the following reasons:
a. It helps to clarify questions.
b. It allows you to see other people’s thoughts and perspectives on current issues.
c. It helps you correct the language and sentence structure that does not make sense.
d. After reading different reviews, the writers can get out of personal biases.
e. It further improves the grammar and makes your writing skills better and clearer.

A critical component to the U.S. Maritime Surveillance Strategies is Coast Guard Intelligence (CG-2); intel personnel are integrated at every level. Crews get smaller and ships get larger as the industry adopts automation, remote monitoring, and remote navigational systems, all of which can be cyber-attacked.
