  • “The Power of Symbolism in Three Short Stories: An Analysis of Literary Elements and Themes”

is an ANALYSIS/SUMMARY/RESPONSE ESSAY discussing one or more of the three short stories
posted on your Content page under TEXTS FOR ESSAY 3. Focus on a literary aspect (see the “Short Story” Powerpoint presentation) of one or more of the stories and write an essay that expresses your ideas about what the author is trying to say from the work (or works). Then, to make your point really strong, you can pull quotes from the stories. themselves to “boost” your content. Remember that you will not give a PLOT SUMMARY; I have read the stories. Again, you will analyze some literary aspect of the story using those terms discussed in the Powerpoint. This essay has the minimum requirements that all essays have had this semester. It is to be a MINIMUM five-paragraph essay with at least 500 words. You must adequately punctuate quoted material from the texts and do a Works Cited page if you discuss more than one work; however, remember 95% of the essay will be in your own words and your own ideas about the theme of the texts. Again, do not do a PLOT summary (retelling of the story).

choose Fiji water website ( https://www.fijiwater.com/the-water) available  also site underneath this assignment link) and craft a critical response to aspects of its advertising strategies based on our classroom discussion about Poland Spring. To do this, answer TWO of the following questions:
how does the story the website tells legitimize the product as something worth buying? What emotions does the website appeal to, and why?
how does the relationship between the website’s imagery and the product affect our understanding of the product? If you choose to answer this question, select TWO images from the website, respond to them directly, and include them in your submission. Without these I cannot mark this analysis.

  • Title: Exploring Connections between Two Short Stories: A Guide for Essay Writing

Could you do this too to go with the essay so it matches each other? you don’t need any sources I have attached the readings again if you need them Notes for Essay 2
1.) Write a working thesis statement below. Express the central idea/connection you intend to make in one clear sentence that includes the titles of the two stories.
2.) Summarize the most important scene in each story that will help you demonstrate your thesis. Just explain what happens and how that is related to your thesis.
    Story 1:
    Story 2:
3.) What is the most important element of fiction for you to discuss for each story in order to demonstrate your thesis? Is it the conflict, the main character or relationship between two characters, the setting, the plot or a shift in the events of the plot? We’ve also discussed the impact of point of view and the endings of the stories.
    Story 1:
    Story 2:
4.) For Story 1, choose one passage or scene from the early part of the story to discuss, then draft a paragraph following this format:
–Write a sentence that introduces the story by title and connects the story to your thesis idea
–Write a sentence or two that sets up the context for the passage you will discuss: explain where in the story the passage appears and what’s happening or happened before that is important? A bit of summary is useful here so that your reader steps into the story where you want them to.
–Quote the passage directly: exactly words in quotation marks. This is the textual evidence. –Offer your analysis by making specific points about what the quote says and then making connections between that scene and the theme being discussed. Develop your ideas in as much depth as you can.
5.) Do the same for Story 2 using the template above
6.) Go back over the journals and postings you’ve written on the stories and see if there is anything you can use in your essay. If you find good material, just note where it is below.
