  • “Exploring Construction Risk Factors and Mitigation Strategies: A Comprehensive Analysis”

I am looking for someone with a strong background in civil engineering to assist me in writing a research paper on the following topics related to construction risk factors and their potential impacts on building operations. Each topic should be addressed in a separate 5-page section. Below are the topics:
1- Investigation of Various Risk Factors in Building Construction and Their Potential Impacts on Construction Operations:
2- Analysis of Soil Problems and Their Significance for Construction:
3- Study of the Impact of Weather Conditions on Construction Operations:
4-Analysis of Construction Defects and Their Potential Impacts on Construction Operations:
5- Development of Strategies and Measures for Effective Risk Minimization in the Construction Process:
6-Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Developed Risk Minimization Strategies:

  • “Optimizing Traffic Signal Timing for Increased Safety: A Case Study in Virginia Beach”

To complete Part 1  follow the below instructions:
You will consider four intersections of width: 90, 120, 150, and 180 respectively.
For each intersection, you will assume four different posted speeds of 30, 35, 45, and 50 mph.
Based on the equations in your Excel template, you will calculate the Yellow Change Interval and the Red Clearance Interval.
You will calculate the total time to switch to Red by adding the Yellow Change Interval and Red Clearance Interval.
Traffic camera will snap a shot after the total calculated time and an allowance of 0.5sec to capture Red light violations.
Create four charts showing the change in the Yellow change interval, Red clearance interval, and the total Change time for each posted speed.
    The equations used for
    Y (sec) is ‘=(F4+((1.47*C4)/(2*G4+64.4*D4)))’
    R (sec) is ‘=((E4+H4)/(1.47*C4))-1’
    TV (sec) is ‘=I4+J4+0.5’
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, IIHSLinks to an external site., states on their site that “Providing adequate yellow signal time is important and can reduce crashes. Studies have shown that increasing yellow timing to values associated with guidelines published by the Institute of Transportation Engineers can significantly decrease the frequency of red light violations and reduce the risk of total crashes, injury crashes, and right-angle crashes (Bonneson & Zimmerman, 2004Links to an external site.; Retting & Greene, 1997Links to an external site.; Van Der Horst, 1988Links to an external site.; McGee et al., 2012Links to an external site.).
You will design an Excel spreadsheet that calculates the allowable yellow light interval before changing to red and the red clearance interval based on the Virginia Beach Signal Timing Information.Download Virginia Beach Signal Timing Information.
The equations that you will implement in your Excel spreadsheet calculator are available on slide 5 of the Signal Timing information.
Your Excel Spreadsheet should show the following:
    Posted Speed Limit
    Adjusted Speed limit
    Intersection width
    Vehicle Length
    Yellow Change Interval
    Red Clearance Interval
Total interval to come to a stop
You will create charts showing the change in the Yellow change interval, Red clearance Interval, and the total Change time for each posted speed used. You will discuss in Part 3 of your project your conclusion based on those results.
You can investigate in your Excel spreadsheet different reaction times, deceleration rates, and vehicle length.

Please do the needed editing for the attached file. The overview section is done by other person while the Saudi Arabia′s construction industry done by me, and I don’t feel that the ideas are connected between the sections.

  • Title: Code Compliance for Door and Stair Width in an I2 Occupancy Building

Calculate the width of doors and stairs and determine code compliance, based on problem presented.
You have to start with building area.
    Then, find occupant load.
Then, find actual  width of door and stairs based on Table 1004 and Section 1005 coefficients.
Then, verify compliance with Code sections 1010.1.1 and 1011.2. Be very careful, reviewing 1010.1.1 considering your occupancy is I2. Read assignment for problem.

  • Title: “A Review of Recent Literature on Analytics Applications in Engineering Management: Identifying Gaps and Opportunities”

I attached my project paper and I need someone to write the literature review as per the below instructions and I’ll share some articles that you can use in the literature review.
    1. Select Sources: Choose up to 20 credible and recent academic research papers published within the last 5 years.
    2. Evaluate Literature: Critically assess the literature using your analytics knowledge to identify recent gaps in the field of analytics applications in engineering management.
    3. Summarize Findings: Highlight key findings and their benefits.
    4. Write Review: Draft the paper in IEEE format, ensuring less than 10% similarity.
    5. Conclude: Provide clear conclusions and actionable recommendations based on identified opportunities.

  • “The Ethics of Autonomous Weapons and the Role of Engineers in Military Technology: A Just War Theory Perspective”

The topic is WEAPONS (OR MILITARY)
TECHNOLOGY, THE ENGINEER AND QUESTIONS OF JUSTICE:   This
option is based on chapter 10 of the Martin text, and electronic reserve article
assigned for the last week of class, “Applying the Rules of Just War Theory”,
along with the articles on the use of generative AI in the military, especially
for use in autonomous weapons(linked below).  Type an
approximately 4 page double-spaced essay on the following set of questions:
    THE ENGINEER
AND THE MILITARY, AND GLOBAL CONCERNS:
On the one hand, can we separate any beneficial effects from any harmful
effects of a type of technology, such as drones or flying robotics, or, in the
future, the possibility of autonomous (that is, no human operator) drones?  Does this depend upon their specific use, in
the case of autonomous weapons and robots or AI?   On the other hand, can we simply treat
technology as “neutral” without any implications for their use and our
lives?   Who are the stakeholders in this
type of technology?   For this option you
must discuss, in some detail, the article on “Applying Just War Theory” as
regards to its argument (and not just its position); and discuss whether or not
this argument is applicable  to the
technology of generative AI and autonomous weapons and why or why not; and
discuss whether or not the example of generative AI and autonomous weapons
calls into question the entire argument given in this article, and how or how
    not.
You may also draw upon any outside material on drone technology, as
especially used in the military, but be sure to include citations for any
    sources.
