Students have multiple factors that affect their knowledge acquisition, growth, and success in a classroom, including their native language, culture, and socioeconomic status. It is important for educators to assess and reflect upon these factors to help eliminate bias and determine the best classroom instructional practices when working with students.
Create a resource for educators describing the role language, culture, and socioeconomic status plays in child development. Choose one of the following deliverables to complete this assignment:
500-750 word handout, including documentation of resources
12-15 slide digital presentation, including presenter’s notes with documentation of resources and a title slide
3-5 minute video, include documentation of resources in a document along with the video link
Utilizing the deliverable choice, present the following information to other educators:

Critical Article Analysis 
Using the rubric below, read the attached peer-reviewed study related to collaboration in special education and complete a critical analysis of the article by using the questions below as a foundation for the analysis. Do not answer the questions but use the question as the basis to complete the critical analysis. 
What do we mean by “read critically”?  Critical reading means more than just skimming the subheadings of a textbook chapter or highlighting the occasional phrase.  Critical reading means taking the time to think carefully about what is being said in a text.  It involves identifying key features in the reading, such as the author’s argument and the evidence being used to support it.  It means not taking for granted that whatever you are reading is objective or absolute fact, but analyzing and evaluating the credibility of a the text using a set of criteria. 
Within the context of a narrative, once you have read the article, make sure the analysis answers the following five questions: 
What is the main topic of the article? 
What is the issue being discussed?
What position (argument) does the author make? 
What evidence does the author put forward?
How convincing is this evidence (quality of evidence, inclusion/discussion of counter-arguments, glaring omissions)? 
NOTE: Your Article Analysis should be a minimum of 4 pages in length, double-spaced and include a minimum of an additional 4 citations related to the collaboration between general education and special education teachers.

Instructions
For this week, you will design 10 interview questions on two types of early childhood programs to ask the school administrator. These questions should generate information about the major characteristics of your selected programs. You will conduct the interviews in an upcoming assignment for the course.  This interview will allow you to better understand the leadership role of an administrator at a daycare setting. Furthermore, the interview and formation of interview questions will be based around your state guidelines, regulations, and procedures that are related to early childhood programs.
You will formulate interview questions with the chosen types/models of programs in mind. The interview questions should generate enough information to provide a comparison and contrast of the early childhood centers chosen. Use the following categories to formulate your interview questions:
Role of administrator
Qualifications of administrator
Mission, vision, and philosophy
Curriculum utilized to meet the needs of the students
State guidelines, regulations, and procedures
Best practices/strategies used to integrate concepts of diversity,  equity, and inclusion
