Culture is a primary force in the creation of a person’s identity. Oral health professionals who are culturally competent are
better able to understand and respect their patients’ identities and related cultural ways of life. Each student must present
their group of diverse racial and ethnic groups to class by sharing their life experiences, values, and traditions in
life and medical/dental treatment. Students working in pairs must research and may interview their group to gain
information. As an option for creative purposes present NOT as a PowerPoint but present in cultural costumes and provide
traditional food. Submit notes on Canvas (Under Assignments) individually for credit
