STATEMENT ON THE USE OF AI
CITING ACADEMIC RESEARCH
Component 1:
You will explain your vision of the ideal learning environment for the age and subject you intend to teach in a professionally written and typed paper using correct grammar and spelling. Use the response template Download response templateto respond to each question. Your submission should be 3 – 5 pages. (12 point font, double-spaced)
How do you create and maintain a mutually respectful and collaborative class of actively engaged learners? Include how you respond to student needs and incorporate student strengths and personal experiences.
What strategies will you use to build relationships with your students?
How will you physically organize the classroom to ensure flexibility and accommodate the learning needs of all students, including those with disabilities? Consider the wide range of disabilities you might encounter: vision impairment, autism, a physical disability requiring a wheelchair or other assistive device for mobility, hearing disability, attention-deficit/hyperactivity, or others. A “Proficient” response should include physical accommodations for at least three different disabilities. Consider things such as Fred Jones’ three Zones of Proximity and furniture.
Explain how your behavior management plan (see below) supports this vision.
Support the strategies you choose with research. For example, you could say something like “According to the work of Dr. I.M. Authority, primary students need structure to feel secure. Therefore, our day will be structured in the following ways…” Please note that you will not pass the project if you do not properly cite your research. You can use any recognized style format (APA, MLA, Chicago) with which you are comfortable.
Component 2:
After fully explaining the environment you wish to create, you will consider how you will accomplish this. You will create a behavior management plan using the template provided. Your behavior management system should help create and maintain the environment explained in the paper. The behavior management plan must include the following:
Three to five positively worded rules that you can consistently enforce.
Expectations (3 – 5) that encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning and instill a culture of individual and group accountability.
Procedures for at least 3 common classroom tasks (Examples: handing back graded work, turning in make-up work, handing out materials, going to lunch, sharpening a pencil, etc.) Once you are teaching, you will have more than 3. These should be fully explained and able to be followed by the target age group. Include the expectations for student behavior.
Teachers of Tomorrow recognizes the use of artificial intelligence (AI) as a ground-breaking tool for research. With focused queries, it can fill in knowledge gaps and reveal vital connections. It can also reflect societal biases and generate incorrect responses. Generative AI searches can and do create false citations, contradictory statements, and offensive statements. They also incorporate copyrighted text without citing it. As information consumers and learners, it is imperative we are able to critically analyze the material it produces to determine the value and appropriateness of it to our work.
The performance-based assessments in Teachers of Tomorrow coursework are designed to help you hone skills that make you a more effective teacher. You need to be able to design a lesson and align all instructional materials and strategies, along with formative and summative assessments, to the learning objective. You must be able to create a productive classroom environment that both aligns with best practice and creates a safe space for you and your students. You will need to know how to differentiate, accommodate, and modify curriculum for students with varied learning needs. These are foundational concepts in our field. If you cannot successfully do these things, you will not be an effective teacher. This work is designed to have value to you in your development as an educator.
In this context, appropriate use of generative AI might be asking for examples in order to spark your own creativity and thought process. You might use it to precheck assignments for feedback suggestions or to summarize an article you are considering using to support your work. It is not an appropriate use to copy the response you receive and submit it as your own. You are responsible for the caliber of content you submit, and AI is not an acceptable substitute for your unique and original work. Submissions that are inaccurate, fail to correctly attribute others’ work, contain offensive material, or are plagiarized will not be considered to be proficient. To use generative AI in lieu of original work is a violation of our Academic Integrity Policy.
Teachers of Tomorrow instructors have been trained on AI-generated material and may reach out to you if they suspect your work is disproportionately composed of material found by using AI tools. To keep your work above suspicion and your academic integrity intact, it is your responsibility to carefully consider and edit any research done with generative AI. In addition, you are expected to cite your sources in a recognized format (APA, MLA, or Chicago).
As a future teacher, this is an opportunity to think about what you will find acceptable from your students and how you will address these issues. Assessments should reflect what a student knows and is able to do; that is not possible if the work submitted is copied wholesale from an AI query. We encourage you to research the issues surrounding the academic use of generative AI to set boundaries and guidelines in your own classroom.
Some work is flagged as plagiarism due to improperly cited sources. It is a program expectation that you know and understand how to use and cite research appropriately in your academic work. If you paraphrase an idea from an article, you must attribute the idea to the author of the article. If you use the exact words of an article, you must use quotation marks and correctly cite the source.
This project requires you to conduct thorough research and apply it in your project, with proper citation. We understand this can be stressful and have provided some useful tools below to help guide you along the way. We do not require a specific style but do ask that you choose and use one consistently. Most educational research uses APA, but MLA and Chicago are fine, as well.
We recommend Purdue Owl Online Writing Lab for assistance regarding paraphrasing, research and citation resources, and how to use citation generators responsibly.

“Predicting Tax Assessment Values for Medical Office Buildings: A Data Analysis and Reflection” Predicting Tax Assessment Values for Medical Office Buildings: A Data Analysis and Reflection 1. Construct a scatter plot in Excel with Floor Area as the independent variable and Assessment
The data set is information attached is about the tax assessment value assigned to medical office buildings in a city. The following is a list of the variables in the database:
Floor Area: square feet of floor space
Offices: number of offices in the building
Entrances: number of customer entrances
Age: age of the building (years)
Assessed Value: tax assessment value (thousands of dollars)
As you work through the following exercises, note your answers to the given questions so you can easily summarize them in your reflection.
Use the data set to construct a model that predicts the tax assessment value assigned to medical office buildings with specific characteristics.
1. Construct a scatter plot in Excel with Floor Area as the independent variable and Assessment Value as the dependent variable. Insert the bivariate linear regression equation and R2 in your graph.
Do you observe a linear relationship between the 2 variables?
2. Use Excels Analysis ToolPak to conduct a regression analysis of Floor Area and Assessment Value.
Is Floor Area a significant predictor of Assessment Value?
3. Construct a scatter plot in Excel with Age as the independent variable and Assessment Value as the dependent variable. Insert the bivariate linear regression equation and R2 in your graph.
Do you observe a linear relationship between the 2 variables?
4. Use Excels Analysis ToolPak to conduct a regression analysis of Age and Assessment Value.
Is Age a significant predictor of Assessment Value?
Construct a multiple regression model.
Use Excels Analysis ToolPak to conduct a regression analysis with Assessment Value as the dependent variable and Floor Area, Offices, Entrances, and Age as independent variables.
What is the overall fit R2? What is the adjusted R2?
Which predictors are considered significant if we work with α=0.05? Which predictors can be eliminated?
What is the final model if we only use Floor Area and Offices as predictors?
Suppose our final model is: Assessed Value = 115.9 + 0.26 x Floor Area + 78.34 x Offices.
What would be the assessed value of a medical office building with a floor area of 3500 sq. ft., 2 offices, that was built 15 years ago?
Is this assessed value consistent with what appears in the database?
Reflection
In a minimum of 500 words, reflect on the types of medical offices you would advise management to close and open, and why. Use your exercise notes to support your rationale. -
Title: Enhancing Communication Skills in the Workplace: A Preparation and Analysis of Effective Business Presentations
This project is intended to broaden your oral communication skills with a focus on your speech preparation and your analysis rather than the actual presentation itself. Your presentation component will be included in your grade, but the majority of your grade will be based on your paper and the steps and thought process you took to develop your presentation, as well as your critique. I would like you to place your focus on the processes that led you to the final product.
Business Presentations is an excellent chapter to use and refer to as you develop your presentation. Be sure to read the module before you begin. You should follow the format described in the text.
You should also refer to reader benefits, as well as any other chapters that you feel may help you while writing.
You will need to choose one of the following topics:
Time management

“Reflecting on Professional Development Activities and Creating a Career Plan for Personal Growth” Introduction: Throughout the semester, I have participated in various professional development activities with the goal of enhancing my skills and knowledge in my chosen career field. In this reflection,
I did a group of professional devolpment activites and my task was to make a reflection
on them then make a career plan after that. I did bad writing due to no time. so i got a
bad grade here what the professor said about my assigment:
(This assignment shows a fair level of work. Your assignment shows fair understanding to the module. You were supposed to provide a real thorough reflection to the activities that you undergone throughout the semester. From what I read in task 2, your reflection is poor and vague. It seems that you used a poor rephrasing writing platform because
you used vague words and you have alot of grammatic mistakes and meaningless sentences that was really hard for the reader to understand. You lost alot of marks by doing so. In task 3, your Personal development plan also have vague words which did not convey a logical meaning. You should work on improving your writing skills.)
I am attaching my assigment below with the cpd activites I made in the table. Please
rewrite a reflection on them then rewrite the plan for me. feel free to edit and rewrite based on the the acitvites I did. -
Assignment Title: “Jurisdiction and Venue: Exploring the Goodyear v. Brown Case Study”
Chapter 3- The American Judicial System, Jurisdiction and Venue
Lecture:
This week we take a look at the intricate settings of the U.S. court system. I know there are a lot of legal terms to comprehend. Trying to understand the court system can be a bit confusing. If you recall from civics class, our system of government is bicameral. We have our individual state governments and a federal government. Within these governments, we have state courts and federal courts. As you have read in this chapter, what determines which type of case goes before a certain tribunal is the court’s jurisdiction.
There is a helpful chart on page 83 for you to see a breakdown of all the courts on a generalized level. As you can see, most cases start out in the lower courts. These are also known as trial courts. At this level, the court collects testimony and evidence for the record. As a practitioner, I spend the majority of my time advocating in trial courts. Here, the court hears civil matters such as probate, family, and small claims, to name a few. When decisions are handed down in these courts, they can be appealed to the intermediate court, also known as the “appellate court”.
The appellate court only hears cases from the trial court. Usually, an attorney files an appeal if they believe the court erred in some way, or if there are some reasonable grounds why the case should be revisited. After the appeal has been heard by the appellate court, the non-prevailing party can appeal the matter to the highest court of the state, which is often called the state supreme court. The supreme court is usually the last stop and the court of “last resort”. The decisions here are not generally appealed unless the U.S. Supreme court agrees to hear the case (writ of certiorari).
In the same like manner as the state courts, the federal courts operate the same with some exceptions. First off, there are courts with special jurisdiction such as Bankruptcy court, Tax Court, etc. (See chart on p.29). These courts are limited to these matters only. For example, I do some bankruptcy work in Florida. The court that sits in my district for bankruptcy sits in Orlando, Florida. This is known as the Middle District of Florida. This is the only court I can advocate for my bankruptcy clients because it is the only court that has jurisdiction based on where my county sits.
The other major difference is that federal courts hear matters that involve residents of different states, also known as diversity of citizenship; or federal questions involving the U.S. Constitution. For example, any crime or tort involving a federal statute triggers jurisdiction of a federal court. A lot of folks believe that they can sue anyone and anybody, but that is simply not true. You must have “standing”. What does this mean? Standing means you must have some stake in the outcome of the particular lawsuit at hand. Without standing, a court could properly dismiss the individual from the lawsuit or dismiss the case in its entirety.
Long-arm statutes help the court reach nonresidents for the purposes of services of process (p.88). Service of process is important because without it, an individual will not have to respond to a lawsuit being filed against them. The long-arm statute, just as the name implies, will allow a court to serve a summons upon a nonresident of that state if that individual has had minimum contact with that particular state. Now let’s explore a case study for this week’s assignment.
Discussion Post:
Read case 3.1 Goodyear v. Brown on page 89. Do you think courts should automatically deem a foreign subsidiary to share the “home” of its parent corporation for the purposes of establishing foreign jurisdiction over the foreign subsidiary? Why or why not? in text citation -

Design Plan Proposal: Analyzing the Genre and Its Purpose Title: “References for Answering Questions on Bly’s Accomplishments”
the writting topic is a design plan propasal
Find answers to the following questions about the
genre itself.
1.
Why do people write this document
in the first place – that is, what’s its purpose?
2.
What makes it what it is? For
example, what makes a lab report a lab report? How do we know that’s what we’re
looking at?
3.
What material/content must it
included?
4.
Who’s the audience for it? What
kind of assumptions are generally made about the audience through the writing?
(For example, if a lab report is laden with jargon and doesn’t go into detail
when listing previous studies, the rhetor – that is, the author – may be
assuming that their readers are experts in the field.)
5.
In what contexts do we find it? Classrooms?
Professional Journals? Individual workplaces? Social Media?
6.
What conventions of format or
design are typical of this genre? Will we know what it is immediately when we
see it?
7.
What style of
writing/communication is used? Formal, conversational, jargon-heavy? Explain
why.
8.
Is AI currently used in the
construction of this genre? If yes, how? If not, do you imagine it will become
so? If AI is used, what role do people play in the creation of this genre? For
example, input of prompts or revision.
9.
What else do we need to consider in order to
really get our heads around what this document is and what it’s doing?
10. What
style(s) of citation are used? If no specific style is used – such as
academic-y ones like Modern Language Association (MLA) or American
Psychological Association (APA) – how is information attributed to its source
or legitimized?[1]
Note: you can ask experts in the world for guidance,
like professors and professionals. I will give you 5 extra points on this assignment if you include an
interview.
Lab Reports. Law firm case notes. Teacher’s lesson plans.
Recipe for a blog. Emergency evacuation plan. Sales pitch. Oral/visual report
to a financial board. Soil sample breakdown for farmers. Grant proposal.
Abstract for an academic/scientific article. Public Service Announcement.
Advertisement. Newsletter. Lecture. Quarterly report. Art History thesis. One
Act play. Web page. Blog Post. Interview. Resume. Cover Letter. Emails. Letter
to congress/political representatives. Petition.

Brief
introduction. What genre of writing did you choose for this
assignment? Why did you choose it?
Address
Questions 1-10 above in one or more body paragraphs. Please use complete sentences,
developed responses, and incorporate your sources. Tell me where you got your
information!
Copy/pasted text or screen shot of example 1: The Good
A full paragraph analyzing what makes this a “good” model
for this genre. Remember to reference specifics from the example! If I’m
using letters to the editor, I would quote directly from the letter and comment
on any pertinent feature I saw. Maybe the author’s tone was respectful towards
those who think differently, and I found that effective for some reason.
Copy/pasted text or screen shot of example 2: The Mediocre
A full paragraph analyzing what makes this a “mediocre”
model for this genre
Copy/pasted text or screen shot of example 3: The Terrible
A full paragraph analyzing what makes this a “terrible”
model for this genre.
Note: if you can’t find a really terrible example, 2
mediocres are okay, as long as all your analyses are strong.
Your Sample Example
Your 250-300 word snippet of your own example here. This is
where I would write my own letter to the editor.
Conclusion
Write a brief conclusion noting what stood out to you in
this assignment. What of note did you learn that you can apply to your work in
the future?
Works Cited
In MLA format, list your references. That includes your
three examples and where you found them. If you interviewed someone, include it
here. If you did any research on your genre – which you probably had to do to
answer those questions – list all references here.
