MY SECTION OF THE PROJECT IS NUMBERS 1 AND 2 AND TO PROVIDE A REFRENCE. THE TOPIC WE CHOOSE IS SMITH FIELD CHICKEN AND BBQ. PLEASE READ THROUGHLY THANKS. RESEARCH WILL MORE THAN LIKELY NEED TO BE DONE
The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize students with applying the process of conducting an information technology needs analysis, predicting future technology needs of an organization and all its stakeholders (internal & external), and developing a subsequent modification plan for the information technology requirements of a local organization. It entails establishing the current state of the organization’s information system, what the future needs of the organization might be, and illustrating a plan for fully integrating recommended solutions into the organization’s enterprise system.
Additional goals of this assignment are to familiarize students with the dynamics of working on significant projects with others, help institute critical thinking skills, as well as improvement of business writing skills.
Students must obtain the professor’s approval, of the institution to be studied, prior to beginning the assignment. Once the study is complete, each group must submit a minimum of a 8 page report (not including the title page and reference page) that contains the following criteria:
Introduction (5%) – Identify the organization that the study involved along with a summary of why it was chosen and what was discovered;
Needs Analysis (15%) – Describe the needs analysis plan and explain how it was conducted (what process was used to gather, analyze, and evaluate) the existing and future needs of the organization;
Existing State (12%) – Describe the existing state of the Management Information System at the organization that was studied;
Future State (13%) – Describe the team’s vision of the desirable future state, of the system that you are studying, that will be necessary to meet the needs of the organization’s internal and external customers 3-5 years from the date of the study’s submission;
Recommendations (15%) – Explain the team’s recommended solutions that should be implemented to meet the present and future needs of the organization;
Integration Plan (15%) – Explain how these recommendations should be integrated into the organization’s enterprise system;
Control Process (10%) – Explain how the organization would evaluate the recommended system and institute any modifications that may become necessary once it is in place;
Conclusions (10%) – Explain the final conclusions of the study: what was learned, how the experience will be used by students in the future, and what the expectations are for the future operations of the organization should the recommendations be implemented; and
References (5%) – Various portions of this report must be supported with scholarly research. As an example: there are models and guides that support a proper needs assessment, recommendations must have supporting information that illustrate the logic and perhaps usefulness of the recommendation in the given situation, and the integration plan should incorporate management and leadership concepts that involve organizational change theories and/or models when implementing the plan. There must be a minimum of eight sources, four of which must be scholarly.

“Applying MBA Knowledge: Developing a Comprehensive Business Concept for Solving Industry Challenges”
This project has been designed to provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills you have acquired throughout your MBA degree program. It is the ultimate opportunity to apply important concepts you have learned throughout your business courses.
You will create a professional presentation on a chosen business concept for this capstone project. Your PowerPoint must be recorded using screen recording video software. Your chosen business concept can be a real, fictitious, or service concept, but it must solve a business challenge or issue. This presentation will include an overview of the problem this concept/business solves, a PESTLE analysis, brand development details, a marketing plan, a strategic plan, and a financial plan.
In 20-30 slides, your PowerPoint must include the following:
Title Slide (1 slide): Your title slide should include the following information:
Presentation title
Course Code/name of course
Instructor name
Date
Link to the recorded presentation
Overview/Agenda (1-2 slides): You should provide a quick overview of what will be covered in your presentation.
Introduction (1-2 slides): In the introduction, you must describe the unresolved problems and challenges for competitors in the chosen industry and how your business concept takes an innovative approach in addressing such problems and issues, thereby justifying the need for the business concept.
PESTLE Analysis (4-6 slides): You must present the findings of your PESTLE analysis. Also, if applicable, you should discuss any ethical dilemmas or challenges that your analysis may have uncovered for your industry.
Brand Development (3-4 slides): You must present your brand. This section must include:
Name of the company
Mission, Vision, Values of the company
Products and/or services provided
Consumer profile
Marketing Plan (3-4 slides): You must present your marketing plan. The marketing plan must include the following:
Location and Service Area
Identify two competitors in the market
SWOTT Analysis
Strategic Planning (3-4 slides): You must present the goal strategy of your business. These should be split into long-term, intermediate, and short-term goals. As part of the goal strategy section, you must include details on the plans to reach goal achievement. Finally, identify the quantitative and qualitative tools used to regulate and demonstrate that goal achievement has been reached.
Financial Strategy (3-4 slides): You must present your company’s financial strategy, including how it will afford to achieve its vision, strategic goals, and objectives. You must also include a budget projection for the first year that includes forecasting expenses and revenues related to those short-term goals of the company. Because this is your MBA capstone course, we must constantly analyze the financial aspect of any strategic decision. Therefore, your analysis is expected to be quantitative as well as qualitative.
Reference Slide(s) (1-3 slides): You must use APA formatting for references used, and the presentation requires 15-18 references. -
Title: The Importance of Business Continuity Planning: Analyzing Risks for an Organization
Business continuity planning is about having tested backup plans that will allow the business to continue to operate even if the current information systems become unavailable due to natural disasters, technical issues, or human error. For example, Chase Bank may contract IBM to have its information systems in Ohio roll over to IBM’s systems in Texas. Ohio suffers a natural disaster that causes a system outage on Chase’s information systems there. Although it sounds simple, it is a challenging task. An organization needs to plan, test, and re-test its business continuity plan, so it can continue to operate without disruption in the event of a major business information systems failure. In this Discussion, you will consider the importance of business continuity planning for an organization.
Think about an organization with which you are familiar. It should be an organization that relies on information technology in some way to conduct business.
Then imagine that you have been hired as a consultant by this organization to demonstrate the value of business continuity planning. Your first task is to identify the risks of not having a plan in place for how to handle a crisis or other unforeseen incident that could shut down the organization’s operations for a period of time (or even permanently).
Post an analysis of the risks to your selected organization of not having a business continuity plan in place. In your analysis, include the following:
Briefly describe the organization you selected, being sure not to reveal the name of the company or any individuals involved. Include whether this is a business that provides services or products (or both) to its customers, how big the company is (small business, midsized company, large corporation), where it operates (locally, regionally, nationally, and/or internationally), and (generally) how it uses information technology to conduct its business.
Then identify at least seven risks, based on how the organization functions and conducts business, of not having a plan in place in the event of an IT shutdown. Explain which of these you think is the most significant risk to the company and why. -

“Professor Feedback on Draft Proposal Memo: Improving Ergonomics in the Workplace”
Hey Jane, here is my professor feed back on the memo proposal I have attach the first draft that you did.
Hi Suda, Thanks for submitting your draft proposal memo on improving ergonomics in the workplace.
As mentioned in the assignment guidelines, this particular assignment requires two drafts, so the comments below provide some feedback to use as you prepare the final draft:
In the Problem section, I’d recommend more fully developing details on the problem. For instance, you might provide more specific information on the improper desk settings and break schedules and the staff absences. Please do be careful with your claims, Suda. You make a number of specific claims on worker complaints (insufficient breaks, etc.) and their effects (lower output, more absences, etc.). Research isn’t required in the proposal assignment, but you will need to provide evidence on the problem in the report assignment. (To put that another way, you want to be careful to make claims that you know you’ll be able to support later. If you fail to do so, your reader may feel misled about the problem.)
The Secondary Research section may benefit from an additional paragraph on any organizational research that you will gather or conduct. This might include using existing organizational research (e.g., employee satisfaction surveys that express dissatisfaction with ergonomics, ergonomics studies if the company has done one, etc.) or conducting research (like interviews or surveys). For instance, you could even take photos of existing desk settings that are improper and explain the problems. (You won’t need organizational research in the literature review assignment as it’s based on secondary research, but consider what organizational research you might use to prove the problem in the report.)
In paragraph one of the Benefits section, consider using list form for the benefits which will break up the lengthy paragraph.
As an aside, it isn’t necessary to indent headings or paragraphs in a memo. Both can be left aligned. A line of space between paragraphs is enough to distinguish the paragraph.
As a final note, I’d just encourage a round of editing/proofreading. As an example, you can change the “your” in the headings to “my.”
Good work on your first draft, Suda. I think this was a great topic to select for the assignment, and it should be a fun one to research. The revised proposal should be turned in on/by June 18. If questions come up as you finish the proposal memo, please just write via IM or email. I’m looking forward to seeing your final proposal.
