  • “Annotating an Article Using the PSAR Method”

    Make sure you reviewed and comprehend the PSAR method described in Chapter 9 of the textbook
    Watch the brief video on “How to Add Comments in MS Word”
    Then review the article options provided to you and select 1 which you will then use in the Part 1 module’s assignment
    You will need to open, download, and save your selected article
    Now, read the article you selected and saved, apply the PSAR method, make your annotations on the document
    You may make your annotations using the Comments option you learned about in the “How to Add Comments in MS Word”
    If absolutely necessary, you may make your annotations using a different color and putting your annotations in brackets [ ] if the comments are not working for you
    After making your annotations, resave your document only as a .docx or .pdf file, saving the file as: Part1_Annotations

  • “Note-Taking Practice: How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over”

    Review the 12 video options below
    Select 1 of the 12 videos which you would like to watch; preferably a video you have not seen before or one on a topic you want to learn more about.
    Select one of the note-taking methods shared in the chapter reading (1) informal outline, (2) two-column outline, (3) Cornell Method, or (4) Mind Map Method, and apply that note-taking method as you watch one of the videos provided below
    indicate the note-taking method you selected on your document
    You may take your notes using paper and pencil, MS Word document, etc…
    If you use paper and pencil then you will need to take clear picture images of your notes and save as a .jpeg, png or scan your images into an MS Word or .pdf
    Save your note document(s) only as a .jpeg, .png, .docx or pdf file.
    Save your file(s) as: Part2_Notes
