Grade 2 Geometry and Measurement Lesson Plan
Choose a grade level (different than the grade level for your Project 2) and create a four-day math lesson plan that focuses on one or more ″Geometry″ or ″Measurement and Data″ standards for that grade level. You may use one of the Lesson Plan templates in the Student DocsLinks to an external site. folder or you may modify one of these or create your own. No matter which format you choose, every lesson plan should answer the three main questions:
What are you teaching?
How are you teaching it?
How will you know which students have learned?
Make sure your lesson plan includes the following:
You name
Grade level
A list of the Common Core standards practiced in this four-day activity. The list of standards must include at least one ″Geometry″ or ″Measurement and Data″ standard, but may include other standards. When identifying the standards, use the standards codes, such as “5.NBT.2” and the desсrіption of the standard.
A narrative describing the lead-in activity (the “hook”, anticipatory set, or “into” activity) for each day
A narrative describing the main activities each day, including what the teacher and students are doing during each activity of the lesson.
A timeline for each day indicating how long you predict each activity will take.
At least one math game for the week.
Provide a list of new vocabulary that will be used during these lessons.
Explain how you will know that each student learned the target concepts of this lesson. You may include any form of formal or informal assessment.
A reference page citing any printed or online resources you used.
Please submit your completed project as a Google Doc, Google Slides, an MS Word file or as a PDF.
Worksheets and games may be copied from other sources, but links to these resources must be included on your reference page. All narrative parts of this assignment must be your original work. If any narrative parts of your assignment are copied from another source, you will receive a zero on the assignment and will be reported to the college administration for plagiarism.
