Weekly Journal – Strategic Human Resources Reflections
WEEKLY JOURNAL – INSTRUCTIONS
(READ AND FOLLOW BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR WORK)
It is important to establish and
articulate your own philosophy about how you view strategic human resources,
regardless of the particular circumstances of your position.
To this end, you will maintain a
reflective journal for the entire course. It will be reviewed weekly as we
progress through the semester.
The journal must incorporate
A
cover/title page is mandatory. To avoid any confusion, make
sure the correct information is provided each week. A sample is
provided in Canvas/Announcements. Please use it as a reference.
Your
impressions (thoughts and opinions) of the assigned textbook readings.
Review the slides for each text chapter. This will also help you form
opinions etc. They may be found under files in Canvas.
Your
impressions of the assigned articles for the module. Also, remember to
include the same for any articles which I post during the week. If you
come across an article on the topic which you like, please share your
thoughts on it as well.
Any
experience you have with the current module topic. Also, how might the
module information help you in your current, or future position, role,
etc. What are the “take-aways” for you.
Your
thoughts and opinions on course discussions, and responses from the
professor and classmates.
Each
weekly installment should be roughly 1 to 2 pages single spaced. There
is no maximum.
All
journals must include reference citations. One or two reference
citations are not enough! I want to see that you have read the assigned
material, viewed the lecture, and participate in the discussions. This is
how I gauge immersion and learning in the module. -
