What are the main differences between these two learners? What are the most significant mistakes made by each of these learners? How you can avoid making similar mistakes?
A third character, Dissertation Diane, was not described in the vignettes but graduated the program much quicker than both Walter and Sally. The goal of our final assignment is to begin the process of self definition and self direction by writing a five year personal brand plan based on the rubric below.
The three articles selected above provide some background to think about as you undertake this task.
Grading will not be based on any qualitative judgement about your goals. These are your goals, personal to you.
You might, right now, not have a clear vision of what you want to do, or how to achieve it. That’s okay. Then your five year goal would be finding your career mission, and identifying the steps you will take in that discovery journey.
Grading will be based on the thoughtfulness you put into articulating your goals and the logic of your process.

  • “Utilizing Evidence-Based Practice to Address a Clinical Issue: Developing a PICO(T) Question and Searching for High-Level Evidence” “Research Help: Navigating Walden University Library for Evidence-Based Practice and Systematic Review Articles”

    To Prepare:
Review the Resources and identify a clinical issue of interest that can form the basis of a clinical inquiry.
Develop a PICO(T) question to address the clinical issue of interest you identified in Module 2 for the Assignment. This PICOT question will remain the same for the entire course.
Use the key words from the PICO(T) question you developed and search at least four different databases in the Walden Library. Identify at least four relevant systematic reviews or other filtered high-level evidence, which includes meta-analyses, critically-appraised topics (evidence syntheses), critically-appraised individual articles (article synopses). The evidence will not necessarily address all the elements of your PICO(T) question, so select the most important concepts to search and find the best evidence available.
Reflect on the process of creating a PICO(T) question and searching for peer-reviewed research.
