  • Cultural Awareness and Social Work: Understanding the Importance of Culture in Service Delivery My Culture: I am a white, middle-class American woman. I was raised in a Christian household and grew up in a suburban community in the United States. My

You are socialized within a culture the moment you are born, both through your family and your broader community interactions.
As humans develop and mature, they learn the unwritten rules of social behavior and interaction as they watch and participate in their social environment. An individual’s culture is often influenced by nationality, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, and geographic location.
By recognizing you have a culture in the context of a larger culture, and that your distinct culture exists along with other distinct cultures, how could that help you see the nature, value, and strengths of those other cultures? In this Discussion, you consider similar questions. TO PREPARE
Consider the different aspects of culture such as: language, communication style, art, customs/traditions (e.g., holidays, weddings, funerals), values, stories, religion, food, social habits (e.g., eye contact, how close one stands, how one greets or says “good”), gender roles, clothing, music.
Reflect on the first time you remember someone else displaying a different cultural characteristic than your own. Where were you? What did you notice? How did you respond?
Read Standard 1.05 from the NASW Code of Ethics:
    https://www.socialworkers.org/About/Ethics/Code-of…
1.05 Cultural Awareness and Social Diversity
    (a) Social workers should understand culture and its function in human behavior and society, recognizing the strengths that exist in all cultures.
    (b) Social workers should have a knowledge base of their clients’ cultures and be able to demonstrate competence in the provision of services that are sensitive to clients’ cultures and to differences among people and cultural groups.
    (c) Social workers should obtain education about and seek to understand the nature of social diversity and oppression with respect to race, ethnicity, national origin, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, political belief, religion, immigration status, and mental or physical ability.
    (d) Social workers who provide electronic social work services should be aware of cultural and socioeconomic differences among clients and how they may use electronic technology. Social workers should assess cultural, environmental, economic, mental or physical ability, linguistic, and other issues that may affect the delivery or use of these service. Post a response to the following:Briefly identify and describe your culture.
Describe your first memory of a cultural difference.
Explain the information a social worker would need to know about an individual’s or family’s culture in order to effectively deliver services to them.
Describe potential consequences of a lack of cultural awareness on the social worker’s part
Support your post with examples from the course text and any other resources used to respond to this Discussion. Demonstrate that you have completed the required readings, understand the material, and are able to apply the concepts. Include a full reference of resources at the bottom of the post.

create the powerpoint. I am also going to submit the professor’s feedback on what wasn’t done and what needs to be corrected. Please  highlight the changes made in the new

  • The Role of Budgeting in Correcting Externalities and Market Failures: Justifying the Use of Taxpayer Resources

In an evaluation, discuss how the role and function of budgeting has been utilized to correct externalities and other market failures. Additionally, justify the use of taxpayer resources to correct externalities and other market failures.
Thread Outline: Use bolded statements as headings in your thread.
    I. Summarize the role of the government in the budget process.
II. Analyze the role of the government in correcting externalities and other market failures.
III. Justify the use of taxpayer resources to correct externalities and other market failures.
Externalities are a consequence of a governmental activity that affect other parties without this being reflected in the cost of the goods or services involved. Externalities by nature often are environmental. Some examples of negative externalities include:
    Air pollution
    Water pollution
    Farm animal production
    Passive smoking
    Traffic congestion
    Noise pollution
Market failure is an inefficient allocation of resources. Government failure occurs when government intervention results in a more inefficient and wasteful allocation of resources.

Hey Felix my dear; I like really like you. You’re like everything I’ve ever been searching for in a man. The way you look, talk, your humor, is just so perfect to me. The reason Ive held this out for so long this month is because 7 months ago I thought I had the best partner in the world. But he left me just for wanting a label. I was so torn at this thinking I’d never find someone like that again but really Im just dumbfounded. You fixed the part of me that was broken. Thats corny though eh?
