Using your digital camera or your phone to capture images, find 12 out of 20 examples of the following items. Results must be compiled into a single PowerPoint or Keynote presentation which will be posted by 11:59 on Monday, May 6th Only one response per question, meaning individuals cannot answer the same question multiple times in the same presentation. Also, the same work cannot be used for multiple questions.
The rules of this scavenger hunt are:
First Rule: You get 8 points for each item that you successfully find that meets the criteria. Second Rule: All attached images must be YOUR OWN photography. Therefore, if you attach images of other peoples art, (even though you are briefly describing and referencing images),INTERNET IMAGES ARE NOT ALLOWED. Also, do not photograph images from books or magazines!
    Third Rule: For each image,
Clearly describe your slide; this includes desсrіption of medium, artist, date, title, and location.
Include a THOROUGH EXPLANATION OF HOW THE WORK SATISFIES THE CRITERIA (design terminology is a must). You will not receive credit without this. Fourth Rule: If you cannot find information about the artist, title, date use a different work. The only exception to this rule is where I have not asked for it or if it is graffiti (still look for this information though as many of the murals information can be found!).
The maximum points that you can receive on this project are 100 points, so take advantage and have fun!
PS if you want to include more than 12 of the items below to cover your bases, that is fine, but the maximum points you can get are 100. (You get four automatically) GOOD LUCK ! SCAVENGER HUNT LIST

  • “Creating a Mood Board and Presenting Design Ideas to Clients”

Magazines, newspapers, fabric samples, and other items you want to include on your mood board
Step 1: Crafting the Mood Board
Now that you have an idea of your client’s space and their hopes for the redesign, you’re ready to create a mood board. This mood board can be electronic or physical. If you decide to create an electronic mood board, you can find images and colors online. If you create a physical mood board, you can cut images from newspapers or magazines and even attach fabric or paint samples. You will need to take photos of the physical mood board to submit this assignment.
Your mood board should include a suggested color palette and at least four furniture or décor pieces that you would put in the space. Then, think about how you plan to explain the design concept and “sell” the ideas to your client.
    Step 2: Presenting Your Ideas
Draft an email to your clients to present the mood board. Remember to explain your overall design concept and “sell” your ideas. Describe how your choices align with their design requests.
It may be useful to recall all of the tips for speaking with clients, but Lesson 3: Designing a Room, where mood boards are discussed, will be especially helpful.
For this activity, submit an electronic copy of the mood board you created as well as a copy of the email to your clients presenting the mood board.

  • “Operating System Upgrade Proposal for a Distributed, Virtual Environment: Enterprise Selection and Project Outline”

    Description
    You
have been hired to upgrade the operating systems to handle both
near-term and future requirements for an enterprise that you are
familiar with or a fictitious enterprise. Throughout this course, you
will be developing a design for several core elements of operating
systems to produce a final proposal report to address new requirements
for moving to a distributed, virtual environment. The weekly Individual
Project assignments will culminate in the final Key Assignment.
Additional information and the deliverables for each Individual Project
will be provided in the assignment description for this project.
    Project Selection:
The first step is to select an enterprise as the target for your
operating system upgrade proposal. This project will be used as the
basis for each of the assignments throughout the course and should
    conform to the following guidelines:
Nontrivial: The selected enterprise should be large
enough to reflect the need to upgrade operating systems for a
    distributed, virtual environment.
Domain Knowledge: You should be familiar enough with the organization to allow focus on its operating system’s needs.
Select an enterprise that fits these requirements, and submit your
proposal to your instructor before proceeding further with the
assignments in the course. Approval should be sought within the first
days of the course. Your instructor will tell you how to submit this
proposal and what notification will be given for project approval.
    Assignment:
You will be developing a comprehensive operating system strategy
report for the assignments in this course. Your first task in this
process will be to select an enterprise to use as the basis of your
projects. You will also create the shell document for the final Key
Assignment project deliverable that you will be working on during each
unit. As you proceed through each project phase, you will add content to
each section of the final document to gradually complete the final
project delivery. Appropriate research should be conducted to support
the analysis in your report. Assumptions may be made when necessary.
Submit the project proposal to your instructor for approval.
Create the Operating Systems Design Document shell (8–9 pages, including blank pages)
    Use Word
