  • “Ethical Constraints and Shareholder Wealth Maximization: Balancing Managerial Responsibilities and Moral Considerations”

    Must post first.
    Module 1 Discussion Topic:
What does it mean to say that managers should maximize shareholder wealth “subject to ethical constraints”? What ethical considerations might enter into decisions that result in cash flow and stock price effects that are less than they might otherwise have been?
    DQ1 Response Guidelines
When you respond to DQ1, make sure you respond to it in two parts, as there are two questions included in this DQ, and please be specific in your responses to each part of the two parts of the DQ.
    Getting Us Started
It may not seem so important or relevant, but managers often:
    -know the future (especially budgets, business plans, business strategies, the date of the release for new products, the status of important litigation, just to name a few important items….);
-managers, often time, have a vested interest in the performance of the firm, in the form of short-term items (for example bonuses); and long-term items (such as ownership of shares of stock in the firm or stock options, which the manager can exercise in the future, especially if they are in ‘the money’ and can provide the manager with a profit on a sale).
So, I hope at this point that you understand that the ethical constraints faced by managers are becoming increasingly clear………..it is not so simple, not so easy, but the manager must pick which road they will travel on, and if ethics come into question, the ramifications of not doing the right thing.

  • Exploring the Power of Negative Visualization: A Critical Analysis of Burkeman’s Perspective on Happiness In his article “The Benefits of Negative Visualization,” Oliver Burkeman argues that contrary to popular belief, focusing on negative scenarios can actually lead to greater happiness

This module focuses on “The Benefits of Negative Visualization” (Assignment #2 in Write It Review, pages 143-206).
According to Burkeman, in what ways is “negative visualization” more likely to make people happier than “positive visualization”? What do you think of his views? To develop your own position, be sure to discuss specific examples; these examples can be drawn from anything you’ve read, as well as from your observations and experiences.

  • SPSS Regression and Logistic Regression Analysis

1st document: You assignment is to replicate all SPSS output found in the file Chapter 7 Regression example (not the screen shots of SPSS instructions – just the output). To receive credit you must turn in one Word file (Word files have the suffix .doc or docx). Cut and paste the output to the word file. Submit the word file to the link found under assignments. Your numbers may not match the numbers in the file exactly – that is okay!
2nd document: In the text, there is a section in Chapter 7 labeled Interpretation of Results. Toward the end of that section there is an explanation of how to apply the raw score prediction formula to the output coefficients. In the example I provided, the coefficients are found under “unstandardized coefficients” look under the upper case B. You can see my coefficients applied to the raw score prediction formula in the textbook.
The picture attached in the file is for this document.
Raw Score Prediction Formula with Coefficients Added (below).
    Y-hat = .201(x) + .237(x) + .082(x) + ((-.073(x)) + 2.444
Above is background for what you are assigned. Read carefully below to know what you are actually turning in.
Attached is a data set labeled “secondmidtermdata.” You are to carry out a linear regression with variables B,C, and D as predictors of A. Take the resulting coefficients and apply them to the raw score prediction formula. Always use the last model to get your coefficients – in the example above we used model 3. On a single word file, cut and paste all SPSS output from this exercise. On the same file write out your application of the raw score prediction formula. You really have to read the text carefully to know what is going on here! Make sure to use forward selection for your analysis.
3rd document: Please keep your overlap at 10% or lower. No direct quotes allowed. Write a 500-word summary of Chapter 7. The textbook is attached.
4th document: Attached is a document labeled Logistic Regression output. You are to replicate the SPSS output found in that file. Cut and paste the output to a single word document. Please read the chapter carefully prior to doing this assignment.
5th document: Please keep your overlap at 10% or lower. No direct quotes. Write a 500-word summary of Chapter 11. Textbook attached.
Everything in a separate document. Thank you.

  • “Creating a Database for a Digital Camera Store using Microsoft Access”

complete in the following 60 minutes. (information attaced)instructions: You have been hired to develop a small database for a local store that sells digital cameras. Currently the owner keeps daily records in paper, like the form shown here.
Here are some of the business rules the company has. The attribute Total is computed by multiplying the SalePrice times the Quantity. Also, the owner wants to keep the payment information on a separate table. Create a new blank Database (Using Microsoft Access) for this part of the exam. Save your Database using your first and last name (angelikadimoka.accdb)
Following is the final normalized tables (please use this to help create your class diagram)
    1. SaleForm(FormID, Date, Time, CustomerID, EmployeeID, CCID, Tax)
    2. SaleItems(FormID, ItemID, Quantity, SalePrice)
    3. Items(ItemID, Model, Desсrіption, Manufacturer, ListPrice))
    4. Customer(CustomerID, CustLastName, CustFirstName, CustPhone, Address, ReferredFrom)
    5. Employee(EmployeeID, EmpLastName, EmpFirstName, AssignmentID)
    6. Assignment(AssignmentID, Title, Desсrіption, Salary)
    7. CreditCard(CCID, CC#, CCCompany, ExpDate)
In Microsoft Access, please do the following:
    1. Create the Class diagram in MS Access (tables are provided, please import to MS Access) 2. Create the following Queries in MS Access a. List all customers Referred by Madonna (Display CustomerLastName, CustomerFirstName, Phone, Address)
    b. Find all the items that were sold in April 2022 (Display ItemID, Model, Desсrіption, Date)
    c. What is the average sale price for all items sold in April 2022 (Display AverageOfSalePrice)
    3. Recreate the Form shown below in MS Access

  • “Corporate Social Responsibility: Integrating Ethics and GVV for Company Success”

In prior modules, you have delved into select traditional ethics theories and incorporating this information into your decision-making process. You included how you would incorporate your GVV results in decision making with current examples that you selected for analysis. In this unit you will examine Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs to evaluate their impact on company performance and profitability. Kline additionally states “The study showed that companies not integrating their CSR programs into the business could still earn a reputation advantage, but not much else.” (2018, para 5). You will also be analyzing a personal example where you can incorporate your GVV results into action planning for increased CSR integration.
In a 3-7 page APA formatted paper excluding diagrams and other visual/oral aids as appropriate, address the following:

Discuss why you selected these companies. What was of interest to you?
Using Carrol’s CSR pyramid or another model you have uncovered in your research, provide an analysis of CSR integration for each of these companies.
Based on the research conducted by Kline and other sources you have uncovered in your research, what conclusions if any would you draw on CRS and company success?
Would you base any buying or personal career decisions company CSR programs? Why or why not?
    Section 3 – Personal Application

Provide a summary of the business(s) that you have selected for this analysis. Include but not limited to:
    Name
    Industry
