Introduction to Social Work and Social Services Agency Analysis Paper
Please review the website and social media pages handled by a social work or social service agency/org of choice to answer the questions below.
Each section should have a heading, be in paragraph form and include references to where the content was obtained. You should have two to three references depending on how many social media outlets the agency used.
Look for your information on the website and social media posts.
This paper should be about 3 pages and include a 12 font, be double spaced, use Arial or Times New Roman, and have a reference page.
    Agency Information
    Mission and goals
Explain the mission and purpose of the entity (i.e. work with individuals with disabilities to help them gain independence) – every agency and org should have its mission on its website
Goals – some agencies and orgs provide a list of goals but others may just list the mission – if they are not listed just pass on this question.
    Agency background
What are the main social problems this agency intends to address? ( i.e. substance abuse, child abuse) What social problem do they hope to end? Who are the clients? Do they focus on one group –( i.e. children who have been abused) or do they serve a number of groups – children, family, groups, community on a number of different issues.
How does the agency decide who gets services? (is it based on diagnosis? Is it based on type of insurance? Is it based on problem / concern of client? Is it based on mission? Or several of these?)
What services does the agency provide? Individual counseling? Group counseling? Home visits? Therapy? Resource allocation in the form of food, clothes, etc?
    Funding
How does the agency get money to provide services? (bill insurance? Sliding scales? Obtain state or federal grants? Most agencies list some of the ways they fund their programs, including creating fund raisers or the announcements of grants.
How is money used to provide the services? Is this transparent and obvious on the website or available to those who are responsible to distribute funds? This may or may not be clear based on the transparency of the agency or org. Some will provide clear funding sources and spending and others will not.
    Agency structure
    Structure
What does the website and social media posts suggest about the agency’s /orgs atmosphere? (i.e. is it very formal? Organized? Chaotic? Friendly? Up to date on social media posts?)
How do you think the clients feel getting services in this atmosphere? Based on the website and social media posts would clients feel clear on the services and feel welcomed to obtain them?
Do you think the agency or org did a good job maintaining engagement with their clientele and community at large using social media? Would you describe it as successful or disappointing and state why?
Are there multiple departments or units within your agency? Of so describe
What is the structure of the lines of authority? (ie president, vice president, treasurer, etc) – there may be a dept. tree available on the website or a list of personnel in one of the drop down tabs. Describe the employees (who works there? Gender? Race? Education?)
    Agency Tools
    Technology and services
What tools are used by the agency to reach out on social media? How was social media used to engage clients and the community? Did they use positivity quotes? Did they promote their services? Did they use any creative ways to engage?
How are services provided? Did they adjust their services due to COVID? Are they using tele health? Did they sponsor / offer events in person or via zoom?
Are there supports provided to clients so that they may use the services? ( is there babysitting for parents when they are getting help? Is there transportation? Food (not as main service but in addition to?)
    Personnel
    Workers
Describe the employees (who works there? Gender? Education?) Do the staff resemble and represent the clientele?
Based on above who appears to get hired at this agency?
    Conclusion and Reflection

  • Title: “Exploring the Effects of Social Media on Mental Health: A Comprehensive Analysis”

Hello! For this paper we are doing #9. There is no limit on how many sources you use but I would like at least 5 of them. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

  • “Improving Academic Success for College Students with ADHD: A Literature Review and IRB Application for Institutional Review Board”

I recently turned in a literature review that is part of a research proposal and made a 0/30. I am going to attach the orginal paper that I scored a 0/30, and the one with the annoted revision comments from my professor and my version of a revision. (I tried to change the direction on if it but I’m still not sure if it is right). But, basically the whole thing needed to be done over because my professor said it was more like a research paper and not a literature review. In addition to this, I also need my discussion board post completed. It is only the Application for Institutional Review Board. The whole top section about myself & my professor can be left blank. I will link a youtube video that my professor provided step-by-step for this here: https://youtu.be/CxzpZNu0D3Y. I have also attached the instructions for this discussion board. Only pages 2,3,&4 should be completed by you. The rest I can plug in. Thank you.

“In the tumultuous central Italy of the Renaissance, Cesare Borgia and O/liverotto da Fermo contended for power with one another as well as with other captains and princes like the Orsini and Vitelli. How were the two alike, and how did they differ? Which of them might Machiavelli have esteemed more highly, and why?”

  • Title: The Impact of Centrifugal and Centripetal Forces on Cultural Geography

In almost all the chapters of Rubenstein, J.M. (2015 and 2019), Contemporary Human Geography, New
York: Prentice-Hall, centrifugal and centripetal forces are inferred—either directly or indirectly—in
communities, cities, states, nations, countries, and world regions. The forces sometimes act in harmony
    or disharmony against each other.
The essence of the exercise is to reinforce students’ understanding of Cultural Geography through a
creative writing assignment. There are no correct answers, per se.
Instructions: ✓ Briefly define the centrifugal and centripetal forces. (Note: Not as used in Physics!)
✓ Using concrete examples from the class textbook, lectures, current affairs and events, and the
Internet, discuss how the forces help us understand Cultural Geography across communities,
cities, states, nations, countries, and world regions.
✓ References cited/sources: Textbook, Websites, Journals, Newspapers, among others.
    Notes:
✓ Do not rush to finish so that you are done with the assignment! Take your time.
✓ Your essay should be about two pages (+ or – will not lose you points), typewritten (doublespaced, 12-point Times New Roman, with one-inch margins).
All essays follow the same order, which includes:
    1. An introduction
    2. The body
    3. Conclusion
    4. References cited/sources

  • “Observing Emergent Literacy: A Comparison of Toddler and Preschooler Interactions with Books” Abstract: This report presents an observation of emergent literacy in action through book reading with a toddler and a preschooler. The

Overview: The purpose of this assignment is to observe emergent literacy in action. Reading is a social activity and young children enjoy engaging with a caregiver who is reading a book. In this activity, you will observe how a toddler responds to a book and interact with a preschooler who is supposed to listen quietly during one reading, and then engage during the second reading.
Required Length: Between 500-750 words, double-spaced, APA format
    Procedures:
Read a book with two children: a toddler and a preschooler
Engage in a book reading with the toddler. Observe how the toddler interacts with you and with the book. What evidence of emergent literacy did you notice? For example, does the toddler watch you or look at the book? Does the toddler look at the words or the pictures? Does the toddler discuss anything in the book and expand on it.
Engage in a book reading with the preschooler. Read two storybooks (can be the same or different). The first time, require the preschooler to sit silently and attend, while you simply read the book. The second time, use dialogic reading techniques discussed in class; ask questions, invite input, and welcome comments.
Develop a report of your observation (see table below and refer to Rubric as needed)
Procedures: Reading with the toddler: Identify how the caregiver socializes and engages the child to build his/her use of language. Document each socialization strategy each caregiver used with their child.
Reading with the preschooler:  Identify the child’s stage of development as described in the textbook and developmental charts, giving specific examples to support your conclusion. Comment about the development of the child as it relates to language and social interactions.
Describe similarities and differences in the reading with both children in terms of their abilities to engage the book. Compare and contrast how the pre-schooler reacted differently to listening quietly to engaging interactively.

Develop a report of your observation in APA format: Including a Title page, Abstract, Main Body, and Reference
