“Expanding Business Operations: Proposal for 24/7 Venue Opening and Introduction of New Entertainment Services” Implementing Contract Changes and Improving Business Operations in a Retail Venue
This is my synopses :
Introduction and Background
Currently
the venue is open from 8am until 2am on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8am-11:30pm. The bar is open from
9am-11:30pm every day.
We are
proposing to change the opening hours of the venue to be 24 hours, 7 days a
week. Analysis from our operating system, sentinel, indicates that there is an
opportunity to increase our revenue by extending our opening hours as our Visitor
Time Play (VTP) just before closing is strong and it will give us an
opportunity to improve our local market share. The bar will be open from
9am-12am as daily cash checks need to be performed. I propose to apply for a Bingo
licence and Sky TV and to operate the venue as an entertainment centre.
Outline of Challenge or Opportunity
Due to
the increase in trading hours additional staff will be recruited and existing
staff will work across the new trading times as per Proposed Rota (see page 4). There will be reduction in contracted hours as currently contracted
hours are hard to exceed with new planning opening times, i.e. a reduction in
will more than offset the additional hours. Bar trade will increase by potentially
75% as currently the average bar, snooker and pool take is 3K; pre Covid the take
was 12K, although this was when Sky TV was installed.
Aims and Objectives
Increase profit and revenue,
Apply for a Bingo licence,
Introduce a new product and layout of the machine.
Venue refurbishment- separate gaming area AGC & Bar with Snooker
& Pool and Sky TV
Installation of Sky TV
Installation of Admiral branded signage
Follow the structured marketing campaign for acquired venues,
which includes a £2500 Giveaway, Admiral branded artwork (POS) and distribution
leaflets
Recruitment: currently not required, however, there may be a need
Communication: staff briefings and feedback reviews
Training on Bingo, use of new equipment and campaign knowledge.
Identification of potential
stakeholders to be involved in consultation.

Analysis of costs and commercial
context
· Possible increased income through longer trading
hours, not asking customers to leave at closing time and going to competitors,
·
·
A chance to gain new customers –
footfall,
·
Opportunity to recruit new staff,
·
Opportunity to gain market share,
·
Increased operational costs except
power, light and heat,
· No redundancies,
· By reducing contracted hours and open 24/7 with new
shift pattern cost wages cost will change from average 550h per week to 470h/pw,
Legislative requirements explained
and adhered to
Apply for entertainment licence:
Bingo, Sky TV
Review current Premises Licence in to the sale of alcohol
Employment Law: eg Working Time Direct – Night Working
H&S legislation
Gambling Legislation
Evidence of effective research
Analysis
of machine performance per room, pool, snooker and bar income and footfall (using
Tablue/VTP/ Customer headcount/ Customer sign ups)
Current Structure:
Due to
the increase in trading hours additional staff in the future may need to be
recruited and existing staff will work across the new trading times as below.
There will be reduction in contracted hours as currently contracted hours are
hard to exceed with new planning opening times.
Recruitment
– venue is fully resourced and there is no need of additional recruitment.

Reading Quiz 3: Bhagavad Gita Paraphrasing Stanza 29 on Page 1297 in a Non-Poetic Way
Reading Quiz 3: Bhagavad Gita
Download this document and then, underneath each question, type your answer. Submit your completed quiz to the appropriate iCollege drop box. The purpose of the quiz is to give credit to students who read the assigned documents posted in iCollege. This means that credit for each item (4 points each) will be awarded only to answers that come from the assigned reading posted in iCollege. To answer these questions, do not refer to or use any other version or translation of the Gita other than the one posted in iCollege. Answers must be spelled as they appear in the assigned reading. SPELLING MATTERS.
EXCEPTION: In the Norton anthology’s introduction to the Bhagavad Gita and in the introductory essay titled “India’s Ancient Epics and Tales,” the editors spell Krishna as Krsna and Vishnu as Visnu (with dots under some letters). This is annoying. In your own writing, please use the standard spellings: Krishna and Vishnu. That’s what your instructor does.
Note: The following questions cover ALL the documents on the Bhagavad Gita posted in iCollege. It’s your job to find out which document contains the answer to each question. Do not use any documents other than the ones posted in iCollege.
The Bhagavad Gita is part of the Mahabharata, which was composed over a period of about 800 years. According to our posted documents, when did this period begin and when did it end?
Type your answer here:
2.Most of the Bhagavad Gita is a conversation between the human warrior Arjuna and his chariot driver, who is an avatar of the god Krishna. Krishna, in turn, is an incarnation of a higher deity named Vishnu. Provide one missing word to complete the following quotation from the Norton anthology: Vishnu “is often characterized as the god of
”. (You must supply the exact same word used in the document posted in iCollege.)
Type your answer here:
3. The Bhagavad Gita was originally written in an ancient sacred language called Sanskrit, which is linguistically related to both Greek and Latin. Experts believe that all three languages derive from an earlier language called _________________. (one word with two hyphens).
Type your answer here:
4 .Complete the following quotation: “But your atman should not be equated with your personality: your unique individuality made up of your personal history with all your fears, desires, hopes, talents, loves, passions, faults and foibles – i.e., your ego-driven, subjective self. All that is not your atman. All that you will ______________.” (four words. You must supply the exact four words in the document posted in iCollege).
Type the four words here:
5.Complete the following quotation: “To use our dream analogy, to achieve moksha is to ____________________.” (14 words. You must supply the exact fourteen words in the document posted in iCollege).
Type the words here:
6.Complete the following quotation: “Yoga can be translated as ‘discipline,’ and the term can refer to any of several forms of disciplinary conduct that are designed to ____________________.” (five words. You must provide the exact five words in the document posted in iCollege.)
Type the five words here:
7. Complete the following quotation: “Brahman is constitutive of all things; Brahman is the ground of all being; Brahman ___________.” (Nine words. You must provide the exact nine words in the posted document.)
Type the nine words here:
8. The Bhagavad Gita discusses many types of yoga, but it is famous for promoting a form of yoga based on devotion, love, and grace. This type of yoga is known as _______________ (one word).
Type your answer here:
9. The Bhagavad Gita is made up of groups of four lines known as stanzas. Each stanza is numbered. In your own words, paraphrase stanza 39 on page 1295. When you paraphrase, you rewrite a passage in entirely different words, using different sentence structure, but you keep the meaning the same. You must say the same thing as the original does, but you must say it in your own original way. Do NOT write your paraphrase in poetic form. Just write regular sentences.
Type your paraphrase here:
10.Paraphrase stanza 29 on page 1297. As with item 9 above, do NOT use poetic form. Just write regular sentences.

“Creating an Engaging Circle Time: A Montessori Approach” Introduction: Circle time is a crucial part of a child’s social development and an essential component of the Montessori curriculum. It provides a break from the routine work cycle and
Circle Time Original Presentation
Circle time is an important aspect of a child’s social development. During circle time, the teacher will engage the class together to give the children a break from the routine work cycle. Circle time is a good time to introduce new topics/ideas to the children without a formal presentation. The teacher can incorporate relevant cultural elements of the children, set up themes of the month, or address certain classroom issues to teach the children in an alternative way. Circle time helps to build classroom management skills as one of the goals is to engage the children through fun activities. It is important to develop creative activities for the children that they can relate to and learn from.
Assignment Description: You will be expected to submit a report that details the following components of an engaging Circle Time.
Creation – How did you come up with the idea or concept?
Development – How did you develop features of the activity? Could you incorporate any Montessori materials to elevate the circle time experience?
Planning – How will you order or sequence the elements of your presentation? What steps are involved?
Implementation – How will you keep the children engaged throughout the activity? Will you ask the children to engage with any materials?
Contingency Plan – How will you involve all the children, especially those who are ‘wanderers’? What will happen with the child(ren) with learning differences? Experienced teachers have all of these scenarios of group dynamics assessed.
Reflection – How did it go? What would you do differently next time? What did the children particularly enjoy?
Your Circle Time can incorporate Music, Language, Story Telling, Nature Culture, etc. The goal of this presentation is to assess your planning and creativity, originality and ability to choose engaging topics which involve the children and assess your classroom management skills. -
