  • Developing Competences in Scientific Publishing and Topic Selection for Project Management Research Introduction: Developing Competences in Scientific Publishing and Topic Selection for Project Management Research In the field of project management, it is essential for professionals to have the ability to effectively communicate their “Exploring the Relationship between Employee Engagement and Organizational Performance: A Quantitative Study” Key words: employee engagement, organizational performance, relationship, quantitative study Abstract: This paper aims to fill the research gap on the relationship between employee engagement and organizational “Effective Paper Preparation for Project Management Topics”

Introduction (+please consider and read attachment)
    Each student must submit
individual assignment related to developing competences in preparation,
processing, editing and publication of scientific paper. The submission is
actually draft of a research paper. The topic must be within the area of
project or program or portfolio management. It is recommended to use it as part
of search for a topic for a your dissertation.
    The
    objective
    The
objective with this draft of research paper is learning about scientific
publishing environment, selecting the actual and relevant topic for a
scientific paper, defining components of a scientific paper, structuring a
paper as whole, so as understanding how to deal with journal editor and
reviewer. It demonstrates student ability and competences to become effective
author of paper for publishing at the scientific conference or scientific
journal. Moreover, it is part of process in searching for the topic for the
    doctoral thesis.
    The student is advised to
apply the knowledge gathered during previous courses in the first semester of
the study (quantitative and qualitative methods, research design and
methodology, project & program & portfolio management), so as previous
    learnings gathered during own career.
    The topic
    Name:
„The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Project Managment“
    The
paper must be related to the topics within the area of project, program and
portfolio management. It is practical if paper could be tied to the future
topic of the dissertation as much as possible. It is important to understand
that you are not focusing solution of problem, but rather research of focused
specific down-sized problem or piece of problem or some aspect of problem,
which represent a piece of unknown. The topic of the paper could be related to
    (a few examples):
    •
    The
narrow-size problem observed in practice, where practice has not clear solution
or have dilemmas about meaning, how to approach
    •
    Trend
or hot topic in research gathered by comprehensive review of recent research
papers and / or research you did.
    •
    Overview
of the particular theme based on comprehensive reading of previously published
    papers.
    •
    Other
    As
it is first research paper, there is no need (or even possible) to deliver
findings like for the top-ranking academic journals, it could be desk research
or overview of the particular actual topic.
    Before
writing the paper, you should make concept and conduct research. Please use
knowledge gathered during initial courses from the first-semester program (subjects:
quantitative and qualitative methods, research design and methodology, project
    & program & portfolio management).
    While having concept for
your paper you must be aware of the following parts (see table bellow) :
research gap you are addressing, the problem you focused, the part or aspect of
the problem which is topic of your research, the purpose of your study, the main
objective of your study represented by research question and 2-3 sub-questions,
research methods you will use in the study, which scientific theory you are
using, what is the main contribution from your paper, main limitations and
    assumptions of your research.
    While
dealing with potential topic you must decide if selected topic reflects macro,
mezzo or micro problem within the project / program / portfolio management. At
this step, a micro perspective might be better choice. Topic must be actual,
specific, narrow enough, clear and feasible for your study.
    Front section is usually
about the problem and short literature review. While presenting results from
your study, please put them in the context of previous researches done about
the same topic. Emphasize the findings and original contribution coming from
your study. Be sure to add contrarians and limitations of your study.
    The
    form
    The
assignment should be structured according to the following:

The paper must have all standard
components: Title, key words, abstract, introduction, state of the art –
previous related researches, research gap description, purpose, research
questions / hypothesis, body text with qualitative and quantitative part, research
method, results, conclusions, discussion, limitations of the research
recommendation for further research, references at the end. Graphs, photos,
tables are important parts, incorporated in the text.
    •
    It is
not necessary to make professional English language correction ,.., like for
journal submission, but content and form must be appropriate so
professor-reviewer can understand it and make standardised review process.
    •
The length of the paper is not defined, since
it depends of a topic and research. Please send the text in Word format.
    •
VERY IMPORTANT – Each use of other people
work or previously published materials, sentences, pictures, and any kind of
published scientific findings (including yours) is strictly subject to
referencing in your text. Usage without proper citation and referencing is
considered like violation of academic and research standards, and might cause
inconveniences. You are free to use any previously published details, under
compulsory condition to declare proper information about author / source
immediately next to, while writing your text.
Your paper is resulting from the study – research. At the front of the page please add table with short summary

  • “Family Dynamics and Functioning: A Family Systems Theory Analysis of [Media Piece]”

purpose of paper one is to apply the
information you have gained from the course to a piece of media. Media might include
a movie, cartoon, article, and/or show. This media should include something about a
    family.
In this paper, you will be using family systems theory to outline how the family is
functioning. In the first paragraph, briefly introduce the family and write a thesis
statement. Next, briefly give an overview of what family systems theory is. Third,
identify and define three concepts from family systems theory (i.e., boundaries,
homeostasis, equifinality, subsystems, holism, hierarchies, feedback loops, etc.) and
apply these concepts to the family in the media piece. Finally, write a conclusion
paragraph about the family and their dynamics. I will provide you with an example of a
paper on Canvas. This is meant to help you.
Provide examples of each of these concepts in your paper using the family you have
chosen. Make sure you include a title page and a reference page.
    No ABSTRACT
    • 3 page requirement
    • Include a title page (not included in the 3-page requirement)
    • Include references (not included in the 3-page requirement)
    • Follow APA 6th edition for formatting (running head, page numbers)
    • 12 point font with 1” margins

  • “The Evolving Effects of Technology on Generational Differences: An Updated Analysis of Twenge’s Findings”

    Final Project
For the final project of the semester, your task is to contribute to the scholarly research begun by
Twenge. You will extend her analysis by creating an “updated edition” of her text. Since her book was
published in 2017, certainly some things have changed, particularly due to the effects of Covid.
Your task is to pick any subtopic from the book, summarize Twenge’s main findings, and explore how
things have changed by using information and resources from after 2018. Think back to what ideas and
findings from the book have interested you most, what have stirred the most debate, what affect you
personally, or what you have agreed or disagreed with most. These will probably get you excited to dive
more deeply into these topics and enjoy the last few weeks of class.
You will obviously seek secondary research from our databases or other sources, but you may also use
some primary research techniques if you wish (observations, interviews, surveys). Just make sure your
methodology is thorough and fair, and your reporting is accurate. You will also create at least one chart
or graph to be inserted into your paper. This can be one you cite from a secondary source or one you
    create through primary research.
This is a scholarly project, so be sure to follow Twenge’s model for professionalism.
The assignment will be 1,000 words in length, will have at least 4 sources on a References page (which
are not part of the word count), and will be formatted in APA style.  (PLEASE GET DONE BY 12AMWILL TIP ON CASHAPP OR ZELLE)

  • “The Impact of Gender on Running Performance: A Study on Verbal Communication and Race Times”

It’s essentially rewriting it’s just so different I didn’t want to put that. The hypothesis should be females will have slower times than males because a number of studies have shown femaleshave better verbal communication than males. Don’t worry about pages or words there isn’t alimit I need. I just need it to be to the point, and not full of filler. Don’t worry about sounding smart with big words, just be to the point and as simple as possible. If you can, the stats for the results section are also important.

  • “Profiles in Philadelphia: Exploring the Lives and Legacies of Prominent Philadelphians” “Discovering Philadelphia: A Synthesis Profile Paper”

The paper should capture the individual’s most important contributions to Philadelphia and (if possible) America’s life and society, along with critical events that prepared, led up to, or otherwise qualified that individual by training, employment, or experience, for a place on the public stage. Be creative. Writing “profile pieces” is something of an art: It is similar to a biography in that it requires historical perspective and an eye for human character as well as an understanding of how private life can influence public behavior. Directions: Check the Writing Conference schedule for your time slot for our meeting (if there is a problem, please text or email me). Then, check out the names you have to choose from based on your areas of interest. If necessary, check out those you are interested in by searching Wikipedia for a good, brief biography of the individuals. I have checked out these Philadelphians, so there is definitely sufficient information available for papers on any one of them. Topic: Below your name on the Writing Schedule Sheet is the name and areas of importance of the person about whom you will write your Profile/Analysis Paper. That way you can do a bit of preliminary reading before we talk together about your ideas and approach to the the person. Assignment at a glance: You will submit a formal paper written in the form of a biographical profile that includes a critical analysis of the individual’s importance and reflecting themes, events, or individuals that we have studied this semester. Base your content on at least three academic/peer reviewed sources reference sources and any number of non-scholarly reference sources, about the Philadelphian of your choice. You will submit your paper electronically into Canvas and Vericite.  In addition to the paper itself, you will submit a Chronology Separately— including (1) a brief abstract of the key events of the individual’s life (sample abstract and chronology available in Canvas Files). This can be done in a well written paragraph capturing the key contribution(s) of your person, connections to one of our course themes, lasting impact on Philadelphia life, as well as (2) providing a chronological timeline, a bulleted list of the key events in your person’s life. Submit your paper and your abstract/chronology through Canvas and Vericite. Important Note: the purpose of this assignment is not to replicate an existing biography of your subject such as those on Wikipedia or other encyclopedic sources. While you will address aspects of your subject’s life, as with the Philadelphians we have studied, the goal of your “profile” is to capture the “essence” of the individual and make connections to our study by concentrating on key episodes or moments that reveal the character of the individual See assessment rubric for further breakdown of the paper). What to include: The assignment consists of two related parts: the biographical analysis and a chronology of the person’s life. * Profile/Analysis: The paper should review the individual’s life, accomplishments, and contributions to the history of the city. The persons have been chosen and assigned with the central issues of our course in mind. Include information about personal and family life, but do not go into great detail unless there is a clear and significant relationship to the individual’s public life. * Abstract/Chronology: A one-paragraph identification (abstract) of the figure and his or her significance, followed by a short list or timeline of significant dates and events in the individual’s life. The chronology is intended to provide the key “public” information that you may not have touched on in your paper. Format: minimum 1000 words of text (4 to 5 pages), one and one-half-space, 12-point Times New Roman font. Include a title page (with a title, your name, instructor’s name, course name, and date submitted) and a Works Cited page prepared according to MLA format. Title page, illustrations, and reference page do not count toward the word limit. Additionally, Organization, style, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, clarity and concision are all evaluated as part of the overall grade for the assignment. Grade: the grade for your paper will be based upon the scoring rubric that accompanies this assignment (BTW both the assignment and the scoring rubric, along with a sample profile of a Philadelphian are available to you in the Canvas File labeled Synthesis Profile Paper.

  • Title: Close Reading and Analysis of [Literary Text]: Uncovering Hidden Meanings and Interpretations

This week, you will begin working on your second paper for the course – an analytical paper. You will develop an outline and a thesis statement for your analytical paper.
Using the critical reading skills practiced during this course, you will formulate a thesis statement that presents a unique and specific interpretation of a literary text. In order to analyze effectively, you will need to engage in close reading, or reading “between the lines.” This means that you will be choosing representative passages and carefully deconstructing them, highlighting connotations that may not be immediately obvious to fellow readers.
    This week’s assignment:
Develop a thesis statement in which you present your interpretation of a literary text. Note: Your instructor will provide further details on your text options and other requirements in announcements.
Develop an outline using the provided template to help you organize your points to support your thesis statement. Think of it as a skeleton that you will “flesh out” when you write your paper. You must write full sentences for the thesis statement, the topic/transition sentences, the passages, and the restatement of thesis.
Note: The passages will be direct quotes from the text, so include quotation marks and a citation in APA style.
Do not include any information from research yet. You first want to make sure that you have enough evidence from the text itself to defend your thesis.
