  • “Exploring the Motivation and Challenges of Pursuing a Career as a Nurse Practitioner: A Personal Journey”

I need a response to this discussion post:
I was driven to further my career out of frustration. I felt that my RN license limited me in providing utmost care to my clients. I felt as an NP, I could take things a step further and better help my clients. I was also frustrated over the shortage of primary care providers, especially for homebound clients. Access to care for this population is scarce at best. I chose to pursue the Adult-gerontology nurse practitioner specialty. I am not particularly interested in serving the pediatric population. The focus of my career has been the geriatric population. I contemplated nursing education and administration as well and ended up choosing the NP.
It was, and is, very difficult to stay committed due to the overwhelming clinical hour requirement. I am wondering how I can work full-time, care for my family and complete the required hours. My end goal, however, is to work as a Nurse Practitioner providing telehealth calls or home visits to my selected population. I am currently serving as Clinical Manager for a Home Health Agency and may switch to MSN in administration. The beauty of Nursing is that there are so many different avenues that one can take. Even the administration program, although much less, has a clinical requirement.
I was a member of the AANP and have now started to renew my membership. This organization provides networking, information and even discounts on various services. During the pandemic, Nurse Practitioner’s scope of practice was extended due to the mass burden on the healthcare system. One study found, “NP full scope of practice improves access and quality of care and leads to better patient outcomes. It also has the potential to reduce health care cost.”

For your book review paper, you will follow the attached rubric in terms of the outline and overall
content. Here, I provide some additional guidance…
    1. Your papers should be a minimum of 5 pages in length, utilizing Times New Roman 12-point
font, with 1 inch margins. You should also include a cover page, which does not count towards
    your minimum number of pages.
    2. Regarding the author/sources section- this need not be very extensive, however you must
provide an overview of the author, his/her qualifications and discuss from where the
information was derived. This does not mean conducting a thorough review of each of the
sources/references, but a general overview since these are non-fiction works.
    3. Your critique section is the main section of your paper, and should be broken up into 2 parts.
The first consists of an overview of the contents of the work, the emerging themes, and subject
of the book. In addition you will discuss the quality of the work (how well it is written and the
overall ‘success’ or ‘failure’ of the work to convey the main points/themes. The second section
involves your action thoughts, responses and reactions to the book. These should relate to the
content/themes identified and discussed above. In addition, this is where you critically evaluate
the intersection of ethics and policy throughout the work. You will identify clearly the policy
implications of the work, and evaluate these policies from an ethical standpoint. Draw from
your text in terms of ethical frameworks, and various concepts that may emerge that we have
discussed in class. Your summary/conclusion will draw upon these as you provide your overall
    critique/opinion on the work.
    4. Be sure to reference the other items on the rubric regarding use of quotes, organization,
    mechanics, spelling and format.

  • “The Ambiguity of Word Meanings: Challenges and Solutions in Language Communication”

Hey, I want you to write me a term paper about challenges posed by ambiguity in understanding word meanings. In the introduction there should be good promises that lead up in order in the paper. The promises have to be fulfilled. The challenges have to be analyzed with actual research on people, results etc. , so please find good research. I will upload some research I found if its not good find something else, please. Everything has to be clear and straight to the point, no sentences with empty ideas and no sentences with the same ideas. I will also upload my draft of my term paper which you can use as reference, but dont abuse it a lot. The paper is about problems of ambiguity during language translation, so topics are almost alike but instead of translation I want word meanings. Theres also references/sources on that paper so if they are appropriate used them if not find something else, please. Please think of other challenges or other ideas for the paper that would be appropriate and lead up to the promises. Of course the purpose is important in the introduction and the conclusion at the end. Please do your best effort on this.

  • Alternative Perspectives in Economics: A Focus on Austrian Economists The field of economics is often thought of as a monolithic discipline, with a singular focus on rationality, efficiency, and growth. However, there are actually a variety of alternative perspectives

Please write a short research paper (three pages max) on Alternative Perspectives in Economics.
First, summarize broadly all the six economist groups’ different points of views. Then write, in details, about only one(1) of  the economist groups (feel free to choose any one of the six(6) economist groups)
    Group # 1   =  Austrian Economists

  • Title: Exploring Gender Bias in Literature and Film: A Comparative Analysis of “I Want a Wife,” “Shiloh,” “The Story of an Hour,” “A Rose for Emily,” “The Short, Happy Life of Francis Mac

The main assignment in this module is an essay on gender bias—which you should email to me.
    Gone Girl (2014)
    partial plot summary from Wikipedia:
On the day of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne returns home to find that his wife Amy is missing. Her disappearance receives heavy press coverage, as Amy was the inspiration for her parents’ popular Amazing Amy children’s books. Suspicions arise that Nick murdered her, and his awkward behavior is interpreted by the media as characteristic of a sociopath.
Flashbacks reveal that Nick and Amy’s marriage has disintegrated; both lost their jobs in the recession and moved from New York City to Missouri. Nick has become lazy, distant, uninterested, and unfaithful. Detective Rhonda Boney uncovers evidence of financial troubles and domestic disputes, a report indicating that Amy wanted to purchase a gun, and poorly concealed evidence of a struggle. She also finds a medical report indicating that Amy is pregnant, of which Nick denies knowledge.
Amy, after discovering his affair, planned to frame Nick for her murder by ingratiating herself into local life, faking a pregnancy, and fabricating a diary describing her fear of him. [….] Amy has changed her appearance and name and is hiding in a distant campground, believing Nick will be convicted and executed for her murder, and contemplating committing suicide after his conviction […].
    Here is the film:
    Gone Girl (film)
    Another link for Gone Girl
    Gender Bias essay
Discuss whether or not you find gender bias in the readings:
**** “I Want a Wife,” (essay) by Judy Syfers,
    ****”Shiloh,” by Bobbie Ann Mason,”
“The Story of an Hour,” by Kate Chopin,  “A Rose for Emily,” by William Faulkner, and “The Short, Happy Life of Francis Macomber,” and the film Gone Girl written by Gillian Flynn (female writer) and directed by David Fincher (male director).
PLEASE NOTE: All the readings’ titles need quote marks. (The first one is an essay, and all the other readings are short stories.) The film needs underlining or italics.
Examine each story separately, naming the author and two or three characters in each text to prove your point. As with any essay, there should be an original title and very importantly, an introduction with a thesis, and a conclusion. Thus, with six texts and the intro and conclusion, this essay should have eight short paragraphs.
Explain whether or not there is gender bias, usually interpreted as male writers favoring their male characters, and female writers favoring their female characters, which implies criticizing the opposite sex.
Please use transitionals to go from one paragraph to another.
Your thesis and your conclusion should generalize that, yes or no, there is or is not bias–or only some writers show bias.
Remember, only the film title needs underlining or italics. The readings’ titles, all short, require quotation marks.
A thesis is a main point sentence within your first paragraph. It usually occurs near the end of the introduction. (Please see the separate attachment to understand this concept better.)

  • “Optimizing Dijkstra’s Algorithm for Efficient Map Routing”

(See the attached pdf for complete details)
    Map Routing:
Implement the classic Dijkstra’s shortest path algorithm and optimize it for maps. Such algorithms are widely used in geographic information systems (GIS) including MapQuest and GPS-based car navigation systems.
    Your goal:
Optimize Dijkstra’s algorithm so that it can process thousands of shortest path queries for a given map. Once you read in (and optionally preprocess) the map, your program should solve shortest path problems in sublinear time. One method would be to precompute the shortest path for all pairs of vertices; however you cannot afford the quadratic space required to store all of this information. Your goal is to reduce the amount of work involved per shortest path computation, without using excessive space. We suggest a number of potential ideas below which you may choose to implement. Or you can develop and implement your own ideas.
You need to implement 2 improvement ideas, in order to get full points on the coding part. If you come up with your own ideas, you will get extra credits. (up to 10 points)
