“Progress Report Presentation: Enhancing [Topic] through Literature Review and Current Methodology”
Greetings,
I want to do a a progress report presentation to my ongoing report. attached is the ongoing report for your reference. The presentation should include the following:
Importance of topic, Introduction, literature review (include the gap in the literature) and current methodology (meetings, surveys, root cause analysis, process enhancement, add more or modify as necessary). it should be not more than 13 slides in total.
Thanks, -
“Exploring Music through Listening Assignments: Connecting Concepts and Examples”
there is one chart with two paraghraphs and another assigemnt that For each chapter (Ch 15 – 28), find an example from our listening assignments that you feel best exemplifies the concepts described in the chapter or unit.
2. Include the example in your assignment, along with a short explanation of why the example you chose best represents the chapter, either conceptually, or in terms of influence.
There should be 14 entries overall, along with examples and explanations. Your explanation is certainly a bit open-ended and open to interpretation. That being said, you should choose a vitally important/influential example that will help you remember characteristics and/or philosophies of each chapter, not just the one you liked the best. -
“Efficient Map Routing: Optimizing Dijkstra’s Algorithm for Sublinear Time Performance”
(See the attached pdf for complete details)
Map Routing:
Implement the classic Dijkstra’s shortest path algorithm and optimize it for maps. Such algorithms are widely used in geographic information systems (GIS) including MapQuest and GPS-based car navigation systems.
Your goal:
Optimize Dijkstra’s algorithm so that it can process thousands of shortest path queries for a given map. Once you read in (and optionally preprocess) the map, your program should solve shortest path problems in sublinear time. One method would be to precompute the shortest path for all pairs of vertices; however you cannot afford the quadratic space required to store all of this information. Your goal is to reduce the amount of work involved per shortest path computation, without using excessive space. We suggest a number of potential ideas below which you may choose to implement. Or you can develop and implement your own ideas.
You need to implement 2 improvement ideas, in order to get full points on the coding part. If you come up with your own ideas, you will get extra credits. (up to 10 points) -

“Student Constitutional Rights: A Case Study Presentation on the Nuances of Student Rights in Education”
Education Case Study Presentation:
Student Constitutional Rights
Objective: The Constitution begins with the famous three-word phrase, “We the People.” This implies that all citizens are entitled to the rights and freedoms spelled out in the Constitution. Since the 14th Amendment gives us our citizenship as soon as we are born, students have Constitutional rights, too. The Supreme Court has taken a nuanced view of student rights, however. For this project, we will explore 26 court rulings that affect you as a student.
The Court Cases:
A) Tinker vs. Des Moines (Student disciplined for wearing peace-sign armband to protest war)
B) Bethel School District vs. Fraser (Student gives sexually suggestive speech at student assembly)
C) Hazelwood vs. Kuhlmeier (Student newspaper tries to print story about teen pregnancy)
D) Morse vs. Frederick (Student suspended for “Bong Hits For Jesus” sign during school parade)
E) Snyder vs. Blue Mountain School District (Student punished for criticizing Principal on internet)
F) Hawk and McDonald-Martinez vs. Easton Areas School District (“I Heart Boobies” wristband)
G) Board of Education vs. Earls (Mandatory drug testing of student athletes)
H) Guiles vs. Marineau (Student wears t-shirt that criticizes the President in school)
I) New Jersey vs. TLO (Principal conducts criminal search of a student in school)
J) Santa Fe Independent School District vs. Doe (Students led a prayer before a school event)
K) Safford Unified School District vs. Redding (School officials strip-searched student for drugs)
L) Island Trees School District vs. Pico (School bans controversial books from school library)
M) Ingraham vs. Wright (Principal paddles student for misbehaving)
N) Pyle vs. School Committee of South Hadley (School bans “Co-Ed Naked” t-shirts)
0) West Virginia State Board of Education vs. Barnette (All students mandated to say Pledge)
P) Goss vs. Lopez (Student suspended from school without getting chance to plead his case)
Q) Broussard vs. School Board of Norfolk (Student disciplined for “Drugs Suck” t-shirt)
R) Thomas vs. Board of Education (Students punished for controversial magazine printed outside of school)
S) Olff vs. East Side Union High School District (Student suspended for having a hippie hairdo)
T) Henry vs. City of St. Charles School (Student passed out condoms during class election)
U) Desilets vs. Clearview Regional Board (Student newspaper banned from reviewing R rated movies)
V) Melton vs. Young (Students suspended for wearing Confederate flag clothing)
W) Beussink vs. Woodland R-IV School District (Student suspended for internet posts about school)
X) Canady vs. Bossier Parish School District (Students required to wear school uniforms)
Y) Chambers vs. Babbitt (Minnesota student banned from wearing “Straight Pride” t-shirt)
Z) Klein vs. Smith (Student suspended for flipping off teacher off school grounds after school)
AA) Engel v. Vitale (Prayer in school)
AB)Abington School District v. Schempp (School was mandated Bible readings during the school day)
Directions:
Choose a court case from the list above.
Research your case.
Prepare your arguments that you will present to the class by answering the following questions on the powerpoint you will create:
Slide 1: Intro Slide
Slide 2: As you see it, what happened? Summarize the case.
Slide 3: Who are the people involved in this case? What is their argument?
Slide 4: How does the Constitution factor into this case? What civil right is being
violated?
Slide 5: Does the Constitution protect the student in this situation? Why or why not?
Slide 6: State your stance on the case and support it.
Slide 7: References
You must have pictures ON EACH SLIDE. Pictures must be clear and appropriate. They must add to the purpose and design of the slides.
Slides should be clear, easy to read, and well balanced.
