This assignment has two parts. In the first part,
Provide an overview of the trait model of personality in which you identify at least one principal theory and its theorist (i.e., Allport, Cattell, or Eysenck) associated with the model. (Please note that the trait model is more than just the big five-this part of the paper should cover the general history and evolution of the model.)
Compare and contrast the basic assumptions of the trait model and the psychodynamic model regarding the theorist’s explanations of personality development.
Use the scholarly sources you researched for this assignment as well as this week’s required sources to support your statements.
In the second part of your paper,
Describe each of the five traits included in the big five model:
extroversion, o agreeableness,
conscientiousness,
neuroticism, and
openness to experience.
(This section demonstrates your understanding of the theory, so do not just copy and paste the explanations provided on the Truity website.)
Reflect on your results from the test, on each of the five traits.
Use the scholarly sources you researched for this assignment as well as this week’s required sources to support your statements.

Partial Paper #1 is a draft of your Method section of your APA paper.
The method section will be 20% (or 20/100 points) of your final APA paper grade. 
Be sure to review the requirements for the Method section and sample examples in the Partial Paper #1 module.
The sample should be used as a guide. Do not copy the exact sentence structure in the sample papers. This is considered plagiarism.  The paper should be in your own words. The samples are there to help you with your APA formatting and to show you what kinds of information should be in each section. 
NOTE: Writing out sample items for the questionnaires (e.g., “I am calm” from a specific questionnaire) is NOT a form of plagiarism. You should report the exact wording for the items on a questionnaire because that is what the participants received.
Your paper should be in APA format. 
You will turn your paper in online here using Turnitin, which is a plagiarism website. Your writeup will likely include sample items from the surveys/questionnaires used. This is not considered plagiarism if you are citing your sources. Make it clear that a survey question is a sample item by either putting it in italics or quotation marks as per APA format. Your paper should abide by the Academic Integrity (plagiarism) guidelines in this course (see syllabus). 
Your Turnitin score should be less than 25% (excluding sample items from surveys) for your paper to be graded. 
Method Section Rubric (20 points)
Participants (4 points)
~1-2 paragraphs
How were and where from were the participants recruited? How many participants did you have?
Basic demographic data? 
Describe participants in study and basic demographics

Age? (range, mean, and standard deviation)
Gender identity? (how many males, females, non-binary)

Materials (5 points)
~3-5 paragraphs depending on how many items were in your study materials.
What materials were necessary for study?
This is where you should operationally define how your independent and dependent variables were studied.
Use separate sections to operationally define each variable.
Tell what questions you used and describe them by each topic.
What survey/questionnaire was used to measure each of your variables? Cite the measures used.
Include how many items were on the survey, what the scale was used, how the data are interpreted, sample items, etc.
Option #1: What were participants presented with (i.e., the stimulus materials) and for how long.
Design (3 points)

Identify and define variables (operational definitions) and basic overall design.

NOTE: The participants section should always be first. However, you may adjust the order of the other sections depending on what works for the flow of your writing. 

This case study will be from the lens of Cattel’s stages of development. 
Diamonique is a Black American and Guyanese woman in her early thirties, she is one of ten children. She works for a Mental Health Dispatch program that she recently started two months ago, she worked for Trader Joe’s for seven years but always had the passion to do more, something meaningful, where she was giving back to the community in some way. She’s sweet, she’s quiet, calm, playful, silly, introverted, and loving but cautious. She loves to smile, she’s very kind but naïve at times because of her strong heart and desire to feel the void of emotional neglect, she has a very dark past that has made her always have a mature personality. Diamonique is quiet and introverted, she’s very to herself but connects with people that she feels safe with, she doesn’t like to go to parties. However, she does enjoy being around people that bring her good energy. She’s been hurt a lot. She’s an empath who leads with love but fights back, when necessary, a deep thinker, curious you could say, she writes stories that just flow out of her like a song, and she’s been this way since she was very young.  has finally accepted her past and now is in her actual maturity stage where she has set out to accomplish her goals and has accomplished a few this year, all while trying to feel free to love and be loved. 
Diamonique’s goal is to be free and happy; she doesn’t think material things will ever replace the love we need as human beings. Life has broken her down many times, throw her out to dry and she never backed down or gave up without a fight. 
Diamonique was born in Brooklyn, New York in June 1992. She was born addicted to drugs and spent the first three years of her life in foster care. She was born with a brain condition called Hydrocephalus, and that condition alone couldn’t even get her a spot in the military, she has had to fight for everything she has, and she has done it alone since her grandmother got sick and died when she was eighteen years old. She had to grow up early, so her personality has been mature since a very young age. She had an emotional attachment to her grandmother; her mother was emotionally unavailable and all about herself or other people. She had to learn how to deal with her emotions on her own, she never felt seen or heard by her family, only her grandmother.  When Diamonique thinks of home, a picture of her grandmother and the sound of her grandmother’s voice appears in her mind, it puts a smile on her face because the memories of knowing how genuine love felt bring comfort to her soul because it was home to her.
