Instructions
You are the newly hired project manager of a federally qualified community health center (FQCHC). Your position is grant-funded for a year but can be extended an additional year if you are successful in securing new resources for a proposal designed to address the most pressing health problem of the community served by this FQCHC. Thus, the most important task before you now is the preparation of a proposal to fund the grant.
You have been given two months to prepare the proposal for presentation to the FQCHC Board of Directors. The CEO of the leading healthcare delivery system serving the FQCHC is also a board member and is committed to providing the funding for continued employment if the proposal is approved. The CEO has also offered the services of the budget office to work with you in developing the costs associated with the proposal. It is obvious that the CEO would like to have you as a member of the team and has hinted that, beyond grant funding, a permanent position may be created. This CEO is impressed with your work to date and wants you to succeed. Don’t disappoint!
Hint: You might want to begin by using one of the government databases to learn more about FQCHCs, the populations they serve, and their most pressing health problems. This type of research can provide you with the foundation for creating the fictional FQCHC and lay the basis for the proposal you need to write. Don’t forget to give the FQCHC a name!
This assignment should include:
Introduce the presentation with an executive summary where you include:
Why you are presenting this proposal
The population you’ve selected
The process
Cost
Overarching conclusion
Append a five- or six-slide PowerPoint or other graphic presentation in which you show the process used to develop the proposal. For example, you might have accessed one or more national databases and then conducted a local focus group.
This process is customarily included in the graphic or PowerPoint presentation and you will also discuss it within the proposal paper.
Consider using the following steps to develop your PowerPoint or graphic
The reason for the proposal
How you selected the most pressing health problem (survey’s focus groups)
The intervention or interventions you are recommending
Expected outcomes and estimated timeframe to achieve expected outcome or outcomes
Expected cost (because you are not working with finance in this course, you will want to simply state within budget).
Questions
Slides or graphics should be supported by narratives that should be included in the ten pages of the proposal paper.
Length: Minimum of 10-page proposal paper, not including the title page, contents table, reference page, graphics, or Powerpoint slides in the ten pages.
References: 8 resources with at least 4 scholarly; the remaining can be government websites.
Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to N******** University’s Academic Integrity Policy.

“The Artistic Agenda of Antonio Henrique Amaral: An Analytic Interpretation of His Works and Biography”
Your paper should be analytic and interpretiverather than merely descriptive. You will base your argument upon specific details from the works of art and artist’s biography, but you must do more than offer an accurate description of the content. You must move beyond observation to analytic interpretation of what you have observed. Otherwise, you will have no more than detailed notes for a paper you haven’t yet written. Description and summary, however detailed and accurate, are not a logically organized interpretive argument.
As you begin thinking about possible topics, ask yourself the following questions: Do the works in question have an overall message (or purpose), and if so, what is it? What point is the artist trying to make? Is s/he (artist) trying to advance a particular agenda? How does the aspect of the work(s) you are writing about fit into the work’s overall message or the author’s overall agenda or intent? WHY might the artist have chosen to treat the topic you are writing on in this way? These questions will help you develop an interpretive framework for your analysis; they will remind you that you should consider not only the WHAT (provide an accurate description of content) but the HOW and the WHY.
Enjoy your project. Choose a topic that is meaningful to you.
Students must follow the style guidelines of the Modern Language Association. Students must use a minimum of five secondary sources, which must be scholarly books or articles. Sources found on the internet do not count toward the five unless they’re reproductions of books are articles that have been published elsewhere, or are from scholarly peer-reviewed e-journals.

Title: “Analyzing Game Show Strategies: Switching vs. Staying in ‘Let’s Make a Deal’”
Background
This applet is based on a scenario from a popular game show from the 1960s. Contestants are asked to choose one of three doors. Behind one is a fabulous prize! Behind the others are gag gifts. When a contestant chooses a door, the game show host shows the contestant a gag gift behind one of the two doors that were not chosen. The contestant is then given the option of switching to the one remaining door that has not been opened or staying with their original choice.
This applet allows users to play the game repeatedly to determine what is the best strategy for winning the prize. Doors are chosen by clicking on the numbers one through three. The user starts a game by selecting a door. The door the user selects will be outlined. One door with a gag gift (represented by a donkey) is then revealed. The user has the choice to either stay with their original door by clicking on it again, or to switch to the remaining closed door by clicking on it. After the user has made their decision, the location of the prize is revealed. A new game can be started by clicking on any door.
The table at the bottom of the game area keeps track of the total wins and losses with each strategy. The raw results from the games from this applet can be added to the StatCrunch data table by clicking the Analyze button.

After you have made your decision, the location of the prize is revealed. A new game can be started by clicking on any door (do not press reset unless you want to start over again- all your data will be removed).
Data simulation and comparison :
Stay with your original door choice 5 times and then choose another door 5 times. Which strategy was more effective in this small sample size? Is there a significant difference in the results based on what you simulated?
Continue to play the game as many times as you want to get a large sample size (50 times playing the game is recommended).
Click on Analyze and your data will be placed into two columns “Result” and “Strategy”.
Generate a table and graph your results:
Click on Stat > Tables > Frequency
Select Column “Strategy” and Group by “Result” and select for Statistic (s) “Percent of Total”, then hit Compute!
A table will be generated. Copy and paste into to a word document.
Next, click on Graph > Bar Plot > With Data
Select Column “Strategy” and Group by “Result”, and select for Type “Percent”, then hit “Compute!”
A graph will be generated. Copy and paste into a word document.
Part II:
Answer the following questions in the submission box
Analysis:
From your table and your graph, what conclusions can you draw when comparing the strategies for switching versus staying? Is there clearly a better strategy when playing this game?
What would be an important next step as a statistician to ensure your conclusions about the best game strategy is correct? How do we know that with this simulation, it wasn’t just by chance to get such a big difference between switching versus staying? -

When reviewing the major psychological perspectives in Ch. 1, which perspective can you identify with the most? Why? What is an example from your personal life or career of how the perspective would explain human behavior?
Why are ethics important in psychological research? How can you relate these ethical practices in your life?
In Ch. 2, you learn about the biological foundations of human behavior. The nervous system, which includes the different parts of the brain, contributes to behavior in many ways. Consider 1 part of the human brain, such as a specific lobe, a cortex, or a part of the limbic system, and describe a behavior that is affected or governed by this part of the brain. Explain how damage to this area of the brain may affect behavior. Why is it important to understand the role of the brain in behavior when interacting with others in your daily life? -
