  • “Choosing the Right Car Insurance Limits: Factors to Consider Based on Car Type and Location”

write a 2 page paper (double spaced and 12 point font size) about what she feels would be the appropriate limits for car insurance for a car of her choosing.
I lectured in class about the 5 major categories of insurance and their coverage.
    1. Liability
    2. Collision
    3. Comprehensive
    4. Personal Injury
    5. Underinsured / Uninsured
She will need to pick a car (her choice) and write about where she feels the limits on the car need to be. The older the car, the more she would just use Liability and Uninsured. The newer the car, she would more than likely have full coverage (everything on the list). She will need to have a city in mind (WLaf is fine if that is where she is wanting to live after school). You can use your own insurance as a guide to what the limits would be. I just want her to think about the tradeoffs of the different kinds of insurance and coverage she may need in the paper.

  • Uncovering Oppression: An Analysis of Critical Scholar [Scholar’s Name] and Their Impact on Communication and Society

Critical scholars can be described as those who “investigate how power, oppression, and privilege are the products of certain forms of communication throughout
society… critical scholars are particularly interested in how messages reinforce oppression in society… critical theorists are particularly interested in uncovering
oppressive social conditions and power arrangements in order to promote emancipation
or a freer and more fulfilling society” (Littlejohn & Foss, 57).
Since the last focus of theme 3 is about power & influence, we will focus our last paper
on scholars within that realm. The purpose of this analysis is for you to find a scholar specific to critical scholarship that you connect with and to write about them. You may
choose any scholar that you connect with, live or dead, as long as that person has some
focus or research that discusses power. I have listed some scholars that I connect with
to give you some examples. If you can’t think of someone that connects with you,
you may choose one from the bottom of the page. This is a research-based assignment
and you should cite a minimum of 3 sources throughout the text.
Your paper should consist of at least 3 pages of content and adhere to the formatting
requirements on the syllabus. Please make sure that you are using correct in-text
citations as well as providing a works cited page at the end of your paper. If you’re
unfamiliar with using APA format, please follow Google “Purdue Owl APA” for a
    thorough and free reference.
Please set up your analysis as follows:
    1. Introduction
    2. Body:
1 paragraph outlining some background of the scholar. Please don’t make it boring
and just tell us where they went to school. Discuss the background to their research,
how they found themselves writing this type of scholarship, notable life experiences,
etc. Give us something that we can’t easily find on Wikipedia.
1 paragraph where you choose at least onetheory/book/piece of research that you would
like to address. How can this theory expand our understanding of communication in general? Why is this a notable theory for us to have knowledge on?
1 paragraph discussing how this scholar and/or their research impacts you
as a student or person. Why did you choose them? What is meaningful about this scholar to you?
    3. Conclusion
    4. Works cited

  • Title: The Psychology of Stereotypes, Prejudice, and Discrimination in Relation to Race/Ethnicity: A Literature Review

    Assignment Content
As mentioned in the Chapter 5 reading, studies of racial stereotypes have long been—and continue to be—a focus among psychologists and social scientists. There is a plethora of scholarly articles and research on the subject.
For this assignment, you will compose a literature review in which you present and evaluate literature that examines the psychology of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination in relation to race/ethnicity. Your literature review must be defined by a guiding concept (e.g., a research objective, a problem or issue you are discussing, or an argumentative thesis). Keep in mind a literature review is not just a descriptive list of the material available, or a set of summaries. The intent is to objectively evaluate and inform prior research.
Your literature review must present at least five sources. Sources must come from the SCHOOL Online Library and be high-quality sources, such as peer-reviewed articles and empirical studies (quantitative or qualitative), published within the last 10 years.
Your literature review must support an:
analysis of the phenomena that have contributed to stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination of racial and ethnic groups over time and
an analysis of the concept of race and its limitations in our understanding of diversity.
You must accomplish the following in your literature review:
Begin with an introduction that includes identification of your guiding concept (as defined above).
Critically evaluate each source, explaining why you selected it and analyzing how it relates to and informs the topic.
Compare and contrast the findings presented, and identify any gaps or opportunities for future research.
Your literature review must be at least three pages in length. A title page (if used) and any reference pages do not count toward this requirement. All sources used must have in-text citations and references properly formatted in APA Style.
