Please make sure your 4-5 page paper includes the following:
A paragraph or two (2) introducing incivility within the healthcare metaparadigm.
A few paragraphs identifying how incivility impacts an individual nurses’ ability to use high level clinical judgement. (Think about the emotional factors, stress, and patient care needs, etc.)
A few paragraphs analyzing and identifying the issues that occur with workplace or clinical site incivility (Think about patient care outcomes, policies and procedures, injuries, etc.)
A few paragraphs discussing how the workplace or clinical site communication is/was affected due to incivility. (Did patients suffer? Were patient treatments missed?)
A few paragraphs identifying current initiatives that organizations are implementing to decrease incivility within the workplace or clinical sites (Review relevant information from the ANA, ONA, and/or Joint Commission, your organization’s policies and procedures, etc.)
Provide a closing or conclusion paragraph that ties the paper together.
Include two (2) APA Style formatted references and citations. For more information on how to cite and reference in APA Style
Evaluate spelling, grammar, and make sure the paper is in APA Style format. 

Purpose: Stress can have a negative impact upon one’s health. Students will incorporate knowledge of MI techniques to engage a specific population in an evidence-based activity that reduces stress levels. Through creating a stress management plan, the APRN gains experiential knowledge to utilize in their clinical practice. How do you, as APRN, foresee screening and treating stress or behavioral change in the primary care setting? this should guide the paper.
For this assignment, students will explore a mindfulness technique of interest and apply it to a specific population. Develop a scholarly paper that addresses the following criteria:
Explore pathology of toxic stress levels and scales used to measure.
Incorporate motivational techniques used to develop an effective stress management plan
Identify evidence-based intervention useful for stress management citing effectiveness. (e.g. journal, aerobic exercise, yoga, Pilates, etc.)
Create a Stress Management Plan using two SMART goals for population of interest (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time Bound).
Provide any cultural considerations that may impact success of the intervention.
Submit a 3-to-5-page paper using APA format (intro, conclusion, references) to Assignments in Canvas by the due date.
The scholarly paper should be in narrative format – 3 to 5 pages excluding the title and reference page.
Include an introductory paragraph, purpose statement, and a conclusion.
Include level 1 and 2 headings to organize the paper.
Write the paper in third person, not first person (meaning do not use ‘we’ or ‘I’) and in a scholarly manner. To clarify: I, we, you, me, our may not be used. In addition, describing yourself as the researcher or the author should not be used.
Include a minimum of 4 professional peer-reviewed scholarly journal references to support the paper (review in Ulrich Periodical Directory) and be less than five (5) years old.
APA format is required (attention to spelling/grammar, a title page, a reference page, and in-text citations).
Submit the assignment to Turnitin prior to the final submission, review the originality report, and make any needed changes.

The annotated bibliography will assist in advancing your quality improvement project by facilitating critical understanding of the relevant literature. Students will be required to submit an annotated bibliography assignment due at the end of week 2. Each submission should provide annotations for 4 references.
The annotated bibliography will be a review of the relevant literature pertaining to the proposed problem/project. Carefully select the articles you review to inform and/or support the need for your project, for example:
Does the literature provide supporting documentation of the existence of the problem you have identified? Your project should not be based solely on your own subjective perceptions, intuition, or opinion.
Does the literature support the methodology or “solution” you have selected to address the problem? It can be helpful to have a template/model to follow.
Does the literature point to major gaps that your project can fill? Maybe no one else has done what you propose to do. That’s great! Your study will definitely “add to our (collective) fund of knowledge.”
Are there published reports by others who have already done what you propose to do? If so, critique this literature, and discuss how your project can improve / expand / build on it.
The document must include a minimum 250 word one-paragraph introduction on your topic on page 1 before you begin filling in the annotations. This introduction will be developed with your first submission and then will be used again for your final paper.
Annotated references should include the following four key components:
Introduction – clearly defining a quality improvement initiative related to the nursing profession.
Full and accurate APA citation of reference.
Brief summary and assessment of the reference (type of research, major findings, quality and rigor of the reference, etc.)
Brief reflection of how the reference relates to other references included in the bibliography (How does this reference challenge, or agree with other references cited)
