Length: Approximately 2 pages
What is your definition of good, effective research writing? (Your definition
should be the focal point of your paper, a thesis.) Compose an essay which
answers the following.
• What do “good writers” know and what do they do?
• Choose two examples of good research writing that you’ve produced.
How do you know they were good research writing? (Your examples and
your analysis of how you know they were good are the evidence that
supports your thesis.)
• What did you do to produce/write/compose those examples of good,
effective research writing?
• How will you carry what you learned in this class forward to other
writing situations, other writing problems you will encounter, as a
student, a professional, a citizen?
