Compare two of the early writings from pg. 101-105. What differences or similarities do you notice in letter/symbol forms as well as the objects on which the writing was etched? To what extent does the type of society (river basin, seafaring, and so on), namely its contexts, seem to affect the development of writing in that region (date, type, purpose, and so on)?
