“The Pursuit of Eudaimonia: A Comparison of Orwell’s “Shooting an Elephant” and Hurston’s “How it Feels to Be Colored Me””

Compare and contrast two of the works listed in the directions. For this I have considered possibly using George Orwell’s “Shooting an Elephant” and Zora Neale Hurston’s “How it Feels to Be Colored Me”. Including in the directions, answering this question specifically: Which narrator experiences greater eudaimonia
(there’s that word again – remember, the word means “spiritual well-being”
and is translated as “happiness” often)?
So, which narrator experiences greater happiness?  Alternatively, you could answer which
narrator experiences greater suffering, depending on how you want to approach
the topic.
