Title: Netflix: A Comprehensive Overview of Selection, Motivation, and Organizational Culture

Below are the instructions for this project. This is a group project. My portion of the project is to research and give a comprehensive overview of Netflix and their selection and hiring practices. Other people in my group will be coving the motivation and the organizational culture. I need 3 PowerPoint slides containing this information and a 1 page single-spaced supplementary report with citations.
In your presentation, you must include in-depth information about your chosen organization across 3
dimensions (selection, motivation and organizational culture), and connect this information to the theories
discussed in class. Remember that low quality research will make a huge dent on your grade so take your time
to choose wisely and really get to know this organization. One might, for example, look at Apple’s (1) selection
and hiring practices, (2) consider how they motivate their employees, and (3) what elements drive their
organizational culture. You must consider how each of these elements influences the other and come up with
recommendations for how the organization might improve performance by changing or tweaking how they
select, hire or socialize employees. To collect this data you can use interviews with employees/managers, data
from websites, traditional publications, etc. The deliverables for this project are (1) an in-class presentation of
the project, and (2) an email sent to a decision-maker at the organization you examine (and cc’d to me) in
which you detail the findings of your investigation. Additional instructions and a grading rubric for this project
will be given to you in class.
The written supplementary report should be written for the audience to be your primary decision-maker contact at the organization (you will not send to this person).
