This essay has to show how I understand the depth about how a piece of music works. It is not a research essay. Instead, it requires that you reflect on all the things you’ve read and listened to synthesizing them into a cogent answer to this prompt. Your essay should demonstrate how well you can use the musical vocabulary and concepts you’ve learned.
This is NOT a research paper. You do not need any material beyond what is in the course modules, your brain, and your imagination.
The Prompt is : Hollywood has chosen to animate your favorite fairytale and asked you to compose the soundtrack. Describe and write about your composition. Your essay should draw on relevant insights from the readings and other materials, referencing examples from modules 5-10, and using the appropriate vocabulary from modules 1-4 to be as detailed and specific as you can. Use information and vocabulary from Modules 1-4 to be as detailed and descriptive as possible. I have to score 90 or higher on this essay.
