Pretend your local law enforcement agency is considering the addition of a victim 
services unit (VSU). You have been asked
to draft information about victimization to 
explain why a VSU is significant. To support the creation of a VSU, please create a 
PowerPoint presentation addressing the following: 
The definition of the term victimology, 
The difference between criminology and victimology,
The victimization theories of von Hentig and Mendelsohn, 
The impact of violent crime on victims and the stages of crises, 
How social media could advance victim advocacy, 
How victim advocates work with victims, and 
Why a VSU would benefit the community. 
Your PowerPoint Presentation must be at least eight slides in length, not counting the title 
or references slides. All slides
must have accompanying speaker notes. Support your 
presentation with graphics that must be cited and referenced using
APA Style. Use at least two sources in your PowerPoint Presentation; one of which must be from the CSU Online
