Title: Environmental Control and COVID Exposure: Searching for Information and Examining Solutions

1. Searching the US EPA Website:
Part A. Go to the US EPA website and under the pull down menu “Environmental Topics” selected “Environmental Information by Location”. Under “Find Local Data” click on “My Environment”. Now type in any zip code to find environmental health information within that zip code. Look it over,
Then, Scroll down to “My Land” and answer this question? Are there any proposed, final, or deleted “Superfund or toxic waste sites” (aka sites that are on the National Priorities List or Final NPL) present in this zip code? If so, how many and where? (NOTE: these sites tend to be rare, so don’t worry if nothing comes up)
Part B: Now go to zip code 11231 and report what you find.
2. In class we learned of the “Levels of Environmental Control”. For the example of “Wind Turbines”
Part A: Present the Health, Ecological and Aesthetic, considerations.
Part B: Which of these seems to be the most effective in stopping Wind Turbine Projects?
3. Apply the 5 principles of Environmental Control to COVID exposure. Meaning give an example of Isolation, Treatment, ….. etc.
