You have to start with building area.
Then, find occupant load.
Then, find actual  width of door and stairs based on Table 1004 and Section 1005 coefficients.
Then, verify compliance with Code sections 1010.1.1 and 1011.2. Be very careful, reviewing 1010.1.1 considering your occupancy is I2. Read assignment for problem.
