“Exploring the Complexities of Black Identity and Social Justice: An Analytical Review of Malcolm X A Life of Reinvention by Manning Marable”

Students may select one of these books to write their analytical review (It is not mandatory to purchase all three): 
1. Malcolm X A Life of Reinvention by Manning Marable 
2. The Slave Community: Plantation Life in the Antebellum South by John Blasingame 
3. No Justice, No Peace: From the Civil Rights Movement To Black Lives Matter by Devin Allnn 
Writing Criteria: 
The book review and the research paper must have a (THESIS) which lays out the argument or claim, (GENERAL DISCUSSION) which provides background information about the topic, (ANALYSIS) information that proves/ supports the thesis. You will write your book review from either text. There will be four sections for the book review are (1) Thesis, (2) General Discussion, (3) Analysis, and (4) Conclusion.
