This project has been designed to provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills you have acquired throughout your MBA degree program. It is the ultimate opportunity to apply important concepts you have learned throughout your business courses.
You will create a professional presentation on a chosen business concept for this capstone project. Your PowerPoint must be recorded using screen recording video software. Your chosen business concept can be a real, fictitious, or service concept, but it must solve a business challenge or issue. This presentation will include an overview of the problem this concept/business solves, a PESTLE analysis, brand development details, a marketing plan, a strategic plan, and a financial plan.
In 20-30 slides, your PowerPoint must include the following:
Title Slide (1 slide): Your title slide should include the following information:
Presentation title
Course Code/name of course
Instructor name
Date
Link to the recorded presentation
Overview/Agenda (1-2 slides): You should provide a quick overview of what will be covered in your presentation.
Introduction (1-2 slides): In the introduction, you must describe the unresolved problems and challenges for competitors in the chosen industry and how your business concept takes an innovative approach in addressing such problems and issues, thereby justifying the need for the business concept.
PESTLE Analysis (4-6 slides): You must present the findings of your PESTLE analysis. Also, if applicable, you should discuss any ethical dilemmas or challenges that your analysis may have uncovered for your industry.
Brand Development (3-4 slides): You must present your brand. This section must include:
Name of the company
Mission, Vision, Values of the company
Products and/or services provided
Consumer profile
Marketing Plan (3-4 slides): You must present your marketing plan. The marketing plan must include the following:
Location and Service Area
Identify two competitors in the market
SWOTT Analysis
Strategic Planning (3-4 slides): You must present the goal strategy of your business. These should be split into long-term, intermediate, and short-term goals. As part of the goal strategy section, you must include details on the plans to reach goal achievement. Finally, identify the quantitative and qualitative tools used to regulate and demonstrate that goal achievement has been reached.
Financial Strategy (3-4 slides): You must present your company’s financial strategy, including how it will afford to achieve its vision, strategic goals, and objectives. You must also include a budget projection for the first year that includes forecasting expenses and revenues related to those short-term goals of the company. Because this is your MBA capstone course, we must constantly analyze the financial aspect of any strategic decision. Therefore, your analysis is expected to be quantitative as well as qualitative.
